Hello all, this is Rodney Wright w/ THSCC and I wanted to confirm the date and time for the upcoming NCAC. The new date is Oct 2-3rd in Sanford. The Danville time and date had to be changed due to conflicts w/ a large event at VIR. No hotel rooms were available and we had to change. I'm contacting all clubs to let them know of the new date/time. Click here for RegistrationSanford is a great site w/ plenty of grid space and parking. Sanford is also central to most everyone and shouldn't be a large impact to drive time as compared to Danville. This site is large enough were we can layout a nice course and have plenty of run off room if you get in trouble. Details will be forth coming, but we hope you'll enjoy the Sanford site. We'll have hotel rooms available at a discounted rate and we're firming up the supporting hotel. If you have question, please post back here or contact THSCC at autocross@thscc.com and we'll get back to you asap. Stay tuned! Rodney Wright THSCC autox VP '10

Is it correct that NCAC this year is not a CCR points event?

Correct, it is not a CCRSCCA points event. We have 3 left - 1 at zMAX, 2 at Carowinds.

Hello CCR!
As you know registration is open for the NCAC on the THSCC website. Right now our numbers look pitiful. If you're going to run, please sign up. I know we're still a few weeks away, but we need to start getting a handle on t-shirts, trophies, lunch and other stuff that's related to numbers.
Thanks!

I know Vanessa opted to work the weekend of NCAC. This way it ensures that she gets ZMAX and our vacation the next week off. I'm still unsure of my attendance right now. Getting close to closing on my new house and uncertainty of what car would go or how it would get there.

I do have the weekend of NCAC off, I just don't know if I'm going. If AJ goes I will go and support him I don't know if I want to participate just yet.

Planning on going, but want to workout hotel before entering.

Rodney,
Got a quick question about the run groups.
Are you going to spit each run group into 2 sets of runs, like you did at Danville (Chicks Rule!) back in April? or will we be sticking with a normal running order?
Because that Danville event was a hot mess.

That's a good question! I hope they stick with a normal running order... not only is it a mess, but it's hard to get any heat in the tires when you only do 2 runs at a time.

It looks like CCR has a small but formidable group heading to the NCAC.
Entrees per club:
Highlands - 5 NCR - 9 CCR - 13 Triad - 30 Tarheel - 51
Not sure how the team title will be done, but CCR should be able to hold our own.

Only 13 CCR members is a pretty weak turn out.
C'mon people, autocross is more fun the mowing lawns and watching football.

My bad, watching football is more fun then autocrossing at Sanford, and mowing lawns might be more fun.
I left early and bailed out on Sunday, the course may have been the worst I have ever run.
