We have to give the motel number of guests early next week so please send them as soon as possible. Would help if people email Vicki to give her a little more time to get it together.
Thanks all.

Not sure if I will be able to make it for the full night due to some other obligations that day. At what point will the awards presentations be. Also if We need to email someone about coming what would that email address be.

We are reserving the banquet hall at a price per person for the meal. I'm not sure what the policy would be on that... I'll try to find out and come back to you.
The speaker for the evening will be presenting a Humorous History of Automobiles and Motorsports... it's a multimedia presentation on unique history, trivia and stories regarding the sports cars we love so dearly. I promise you will find it fun and informative ... and bring your spouse as well! The ladies will find much of our automotive history revolves around them... including that the first roadside repair on a car was done by a female mechanic! Find out what car company was originally called the Swallow Side Car company... and what car company really has a sense of humor! Learn how dyslexia led to a racer's success and what driver lost a F1 race on his last lap by stalling the engine while waving to the crowd! If you are interested in getting more involved in CCR, you may wish to attend the Business meeting from 5 to 6 and learn a little about how the region is run from events to finances to marketing and planning.
It's really nice to have members from all over our region come together, to be present to clap for others receiving their awards, encourage those that came close and honor some of our members efforts and achievements during 2010. We only get together once per year as Central Carolinas Region and we'd like to make it special. Kind of looking back over last year and plans for 2011!! Hope to see you there!

Most guys wear slacks and a button down shirt. Some wear suits. Pretty much what you'd wear to an office job.

I'm bummed that I won't be able to make this due to prior engagements (gotta keep the future in-laws happy). Since this is my first year with CCR, what's the procedure for getting your season trophy if you can't make it?

All trophies not picked up at the presentation will be sprinkled with Castrol 10W40 and burned right after the New BOD member initiation rites and the sacrificing of the .... oh wait. That was last year. We changed the rules for this year... We will have them at next autocross event, correct Rich? Please don't ask him to ship these to you... it adds to expense and takes a great deal of time packaging and mailing. Thanks Rich for all your work this year! Every year, we have a few trophies that sit in a box and get drug around event after event... that's really a shame. It means something to place in our region and we are proud of your accomplishment. If you can't make it, we understand BUT... If there is anyway you can, please come so we can acknowledge and honor you before the region members. We work hard to make this once a year meeting something special you'll enjoy. Thanks.

Thanks to Rich and everyone who put the effort into making the trophies and putting on the banquet. I'm extremely bummed about missing out on the fun tomorrow night. It's only 15 min. away from home, but tomorrow night I'll be 10 hours down the road on my way to Houghton, Michigan for two weeks of winter testing.
If it helps out any (less stuff to lug around) I could have my better half pick up my trophy at the end of the banquet tomorrow night, or I can just get it at the first event. Thanks again to everyone with CCR for all your hard work.

Hey infernoz28. Is you is the John Clark that raced showroom stock (Citations & Rabbits?) at the runoffs years ago or is you is a different John Clark?

This would be a different John Clark. lol. I am sorry to have missed the fun last night. I had prior engagements earlier that day that ended up running later than I expected. I hope everyone enjoyed the banquet and I will do my best to make it next year. Thanks again to everyone that works so hard to put the events together all year. Ill pick up my stuff at the first autocross unless I need to get it earlier.

All the awards that were not picked up last night will be at the autocrosses. I'm also going to shoot to have a social / SOLO meeting late this month or early Feb to go over core workers, the schedule and give out trophies for the regular season and Knights. Don't know when yet, but I'll let y'all know when I figure it out.

Hey now! That is actually a pretty good picture I think lol. I know I look better standing next to Vanessa. Ashame that she looks worse at the same time. Wait ... who am I kidding.
Great time at the Banquet! Trophies are fantastic! Great job to Rich, the board, and the members for such a great idea and follow thru.
I want to say thank you for the honor of SOLO Worker of the Year. Also thanks to Rich for the memory of that first weekend in my own car. Without the members and the workers, I would not have been able to collect this honor. I have to thank my mom for being so supportive in my present hobby. A HUGE thank you to my loving, caring, fast, by far better half Vanessa. She has been fantastic in supporting me in this hobby and the cars. It greatly helps that she is as into it and the club as I am. I'm lucky to have her racing with me and putting up with all the work I do for the club. She has equally put forth as large of efforts as I have. Thank you. It truly is an honor.
Once I get my trophy walls set up, I'm definately going to post up some pictures.

Once I get my trophy walls set up, I'm definately going to post up some pictures. WALLS? Heh heh heh... oh... you meant for yours AND Vanessas. Congrats on SOLO worker of the Year... well deserved. Also thanks to Rich ... and Brian Gause & Tony Wentworth for helping out with the trailer and many other areas. All these guys do a LOT of work that is often behind the scenes but very much appreciated.
