I want to start TT racing. Where can I read regarding rules? I tried some websites but I got lost with all the rules that are written. What is the bottom rank? Can I start with my daily driving car? I have a 4 point roll cage in it. Sorry if this question was already beat to death somewhere else.
Thanks, Paul

Paul, welcome aboard! You are in for a lot of fun and some great people to race with. I understand you are wanting a simple easy answer but unfortunately, there isn't one. There are 4 levels of competition and many car classes you could run in each. It depends on what you are wanting to do (basic track days, competitive driving in traffic at speed on full course or hillclimbing). To be able to help you, we need to better understand where you want to go... and then, we'll be glad to help you there! www.sedivtt.com is a great site for more info. There are mainly two components : Driver and car. CAR - There was a great article written by Craig Farr that explains basics of car prep and what needs to be done to make it legal for Level 3/4 competition.. www.sedivtt.com/2012/01/how-to-ready-your-solo-car-for-time-trial/DRIVER - First two level require no competition license and allow you on track with instruction to develop driving skills in your streetable car with minimum preparation. Level 1 - PDX (Track Day). Level 3 requires a minimum novice license and full protective gear (nomex, extinguisher, etc.).Level 4 - is hillclimb and requires the same protective gear and a FULL Time Trial license. If you will write me an email with more info on what you are wanting to do, budget, present car prep... I'll be glad to assist you to getting on track on track! Thanks Ted editor@thesoutherndriver.com

Would be happy to assist you. The article that Ted mentioned is a good start but there are always questions about a particular issue.
