I have been reminded by my wife that I will not be able to go to Monday socials as often due to my inclusion in a 100+ person masterworks choir that rehearses ONLY on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30. With only 10 rehearsals to learn 112 pages of music, I can probably only skip one. Dammit.

112 pages... of what music? Mozart Requiem?

Handel Messiah. It might actually be 120-something pages, I forget.

OH yeah Messiah! Handel is cool. But that's a super-long piece. When are you guys performing it?

I should probably know the answer to that question.........maybe December?? My wife just kinda told me that I was joining the choir with her, and that I was required to be at rehearsals Monday nights. Plus, as you may well imagine, they need any strong tenors they can get.....
Not saying that I'm strong as in good, no, I just have a strong voice. Kind of like when I announced at the 12-hour- I may not have said correct information or made sense, but dammit, people heard me.

Considering that we are supposed to meet in just a few hours, have we actually picked a place and is anybody actually coming besides me?

Doesn't sound like it to be honest. We've failed to pick a location...and if there's no location by the time I leave work, I'm heading home.

Well, I guess this one is officially bust. Oh well. Maybe I'll be home from Singapore in time for the next one.

It makes me sad I did not see a single one of you this month. You would see us if you actually showed up for an event! ;D (runs away to hide in Singapore for the month of October and maybe November!)

I know, I know, it killed me to miss the last couple. But those pesky 'obligations' take precedence over my last place finishes in CSP......

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to be there. I've actually never seen the Messiah live, believe it or not! Pretty amazing, considering how often it's performed during the holiday season!
Why did you put question marks after my name?

Didn't anyone tell you that racing comes 2nd right after beer! If you get your priorities straightened out you won't be last. ;D ;D ;D

Didn't anyone tell you that racing might come 2nd after beer, but MUSIC is LIFE ? If you get your priorities straightened out, you might still be last, but you will at least be forever distracted by the melodies running in your head ;D.

Why did you put question marks after my name? I was just asking if I had your attention. I'm just used to being ignored by pretty girls, so I guess I feel like I have to ask for the honor of your conscious thought.

I don't know what to say... except: Don't feel that way cause I'm not like that!! (I NEVER ignore people on purpose!) ...and I'm (kinda embarrassed but) honored that anyone would consider me a "pretty girl". I know that sounds weird, but *shrugs* oh well lol. I'm just going to stop talking now before I embarrass myself further.

See folks? Did you see how I did that? With just a touch of self-deprecation and a well-placed yet not over-the-top complement, I made the pretty co-ed blush! You can tell from the rambling right when those porcelain cheeks turned pink!
Heh heh, I'm pretty sure that's about the same way I snagged my wonderful wife who, as most will probably attest, is way hotter than I deserve!

Heh heh Chris, just watch Anna around me, 'cus she's a hottie too! And we already know she goes for the super-dorky types!
See now? In that case, I got a small jab in at you while still complementing your beautiful wife. Gentle ribbing of someone close to her works almost as well as self-deprecation.

Yea, I definately lucked out with Anna. Not only is she good looking, she makes more money than I do so she can support my racing habit! ;D ;D Now if I can only stay in the country long enough to actually go racing. At least these big trips pay for upgrades. This trip should cover to cost of new shocks and springs. I'm contemplating heading over to the HSCC event on Sunday to squeeze in one more event before I fly out on Sunday.

Oh my gosh... he figured it out... I guess this will be chronicled in the next sequel of Revenge of the Nerds! ;D Shucks, Derek, we always knew you were suave and deboner. I'm just glad you are bringing some class and culture to that Davidson University place. Most of them folks only listen to Celtic Wimmenz. As far as Aimee being beautiful, intelligent, talented... all I can say is :
