If I'm not mistaken, the Deans were asked to join before they ran. And the team rules state members can be added at any time as long as the team has a max of 12 members.

Yea I talked with Steve before the event started. We only had 8 members there. Team Europe did the same. They only had three members present and needed to pick up two just to get to five. It will be interesting to see how the standings are.

I think the last second team pickups are kind of BS, but eh. As long as the additions were made within the rules it's ok (which was done in this case). And what are the rules? Did the drivers know that there are different team options (ie Team Subaru?)

FYI, I will be out of town for a few weeks and won't be at the next few events. So you might want to seek out a backup D stock driver!
(You wight want to seek out a backup D stock driver anyway, heheh.)
I think Chris Grand is going to be at BMW/Greer...

Phil, personally I think you did well and set an example for us all. Hat's off to you, Sir. Losing Tink for a few events will hurt. I believe I'll be able to make the next few events, not that I did much Sunday. I actually corded one of those old, worn out Victoracers. Another looks to be just a few runs away from cording. We'll see if the new 710's help next time. Can't wait to see the results!!!

sorry guys I guess going to STX was a bad idea I'll try it for one more event and if that doesn't work out we'll have to think about another class.

Yo! Phil, my saturn is stock. Our times were very close. I guess yours is a bit heavier, being a wagon, and all. You must have run in the rain.

Phillip you can go back to STS if you want. I think we cover like 7 classes as is and there is no way you can compete with those guys in STX. It is just suicide.
As for the next event I'll have some new toys on hopefully. Getting the brakes upgraded greatly and I took off the two upper bars. Now I'm back to being legal.

This is my first time looking at any of these "team" threads. I would be willing to be a back up DS driver if needed. I will be at both the SCR BMW event in greer on the 29th (not sure if this matters at all) and of course Points #3 on May 13th.
--the only 2 Mazdaspeeds should be on the same team.....right tink ;-)

I think Tink said she'd miss the next few events so that will work out nicely! Plus, we have an opening!

OK I'll go back to STS
I'm eyeing slotted rotors and perhaps better shocks and springs

OK I'll go back to STS I'm eyeing slotted rotors and perhaps better shocks and springs To be honest, getting slotted rotors probably won't help you that much. If you want to upgrade your braking power, I would just get an agressive pad, some stainless steel braided lines (if allowed) resurface your stock rotors, and get the best fluid you can. Slotted don't provide that huge a benefit for this kind of application, espeically for the price.

+1
More aggressive pads and some good fluid will make a more noticable difference on the autox course.

I am kind of going for asthetics. if I wanted real braking improvement I'd locate a rear disk setup.
