Just wondering if anyone hosts track days around this area. When I was in the Buffalo, NY area we had track days here We had the track for 4 hours. The cost was $50 a car. If there were 2 people driving the car they would split the cost. We had a limit of I think 20 cars. It was an untimed lapping event. Great for seat time. So, is there anything like this around here?

Both Carolina Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta have track days. When I was doing them a couple of years ago, Turn One was doing the ones at CMP. Since Skip Barber has taken over the driving school at Road Atlanta, I expect you'll have to contact them. The Porsche Club of America (Peachstate Region), the BMWCCA, and any number of other specialty clubs host HPDE stuff at Road Atlanta. Heck, even the CCR has HPDE stuff!! Do you need a special license for any of those? How much does it cost?
The main think I liked about the ones at Dunnville was they were cheap, any one can do it and more than enough time on the track.

If you are looking for a chance to drive your street car around Carolina Motorsports Park, that will be possible for SCCA members during the lunch breaks of CCR's "Memorial Monster Race weekend, May 24,25,26. Come work the Race and get discounts at upcoming CCR Solo events. Brian Gause CCR-SCCA BOD

Contact Turn One Motorsports at CMP. I think that there is a link on the CMP site. The prices are reasonable, you can use your street car, and they have quality instructors. I've run there with the SVT/Cobra Mustang Club as well (SCMC). The PCA has track days at Lowe's on their road course. Different groups rent Road Atlanta and Roebling as well (PCA, BMWCCA, etc.). There is a Time Trial at the Memorial Monster as well, if your car has all of the safety stuff it needs.

Just wondering if anyone hosts track days around this area. To add a little to what's already been suggested, don't forget the Atlanta Region. They regularly host PDX's in conjunction with regular Club Racing events. The next PDX is June 1st. Cost is $25 if you've worked CR events for them, or $100 if you haven't. You will need to be an SCCA member. Full regs and supps are on their site. I believe that's for 2 twenty minute sessions. (I'd be there in June...if I could've gotten off work!) www.atlantascca.org/

Be aware that the PDXs at the Atlanta Region Race events are not guaranteed to have room to get you on the track. So make prior arrangements so that you will not be disappointed an have long drive for nothing.
