Well - it was two days notice if your browser took you to the new site. I am going to try to go, but first I need to drop some round black things off to have them beat onto some wheels. Sticky tires for the Fiesta.

Well - decided to forego getting tires mounted and made an appearance at the unsocial. Martin, Dick, Sheryl and I were there --- that was it. Had a good chat about the upcoming PDE/trials event and other such things as getting larger membership and member involvement. We also promoted world peace thru autocross/racing and discussed the development of an E85 powered A-mod car. Well - actually, we had a couple of burgers and thought about all y'all!

Oh - and it was noted that EVERYONE should know about the social as it is printed on your favorite refrigerator magnet. It is always the last Monday of the month. Just the location changes. See ya'all at the next one.

What magnet? Next one needs to be in south Charlotte... yeah, I'm lazy and don't want to drive an hour for dinner...

Yup, really handy. I only had to mark out 1 event, the hill climb. No roll cage.

Post by C4Shane on Mar 1, 2006 8:32:14 GMT -5
Yeah - the fiesta has a roll cage, fully welded in per current rules, proper diameter for weight of car, etc....but no SCCA stamp that I can see. Since I work in power plant industry as a metal engineer, I can even get ultrasonic thickness gauge testing done on it. But, alas...no stamp. So although it makes the car safer I don't think it will pass muster.
So, no hillclimb for the fiesta, although I think it would be a blast.

Darn yur good!!! Well, got the Fiesta to go up and down the driveway. Brakes seem to not grip very well. One more thing to work on. I hope to have it at the event this next W/E, but it will be ugly.
