Okay JB... ya' beat me last year at BMW by 1 second but I had 2" blisters on my 3 year old Kumhos. I threw them away after that race! Since then, I've beaten you by over a second every event (BOTH OF THEM!) ;D So... to make it fair, THIS time at BMW, I'm running HoosHos.... Hoosiers on the back and Kumhos on the front for this event. You are racing at the mothership on your own home territory! I'm willing to bet you a bucket of KFT (or KFC if you prefer) that I beat you by more than 1 second. My poor tired 1.6 Miata engine may not even make it to the event and I live in Greenville! Are you up for a challenge? C'mon... are you yellow? (Whooops...wrong thing to ask a Tweety Bird I guess...)

PAX - Throwdown - forget the bucket - make it The Beacon! You takin'? The Beacon sounds great...I due for an oil change anyway! But forget PAX... it's straight up. Like I told you, PAX was a tool invented so Mini drivers could feel like they were going fast too! In SCR, the PAX trophy is reserved for Per Olaf and Joe Olivera... when I take pictures of them autocrossing, I always get someone to bump me right when I hit the shutter so the pictures look like they are going reall fast... but WE know the truth, don't we... ;D

I'd like to go to that race and represent the CCR. Not sure I could take that weekend off though.

I work In Spartanburg, I'll check on the Beacon, but I think he's right. Not on Sunday. Each meal there should come with a free roll of Charmin. Not what you want before a race!

See Here: ccrscca.proboards51.com/index.cgi?board=solo2&action=display&thread=1141325275&page=1#1141325275We are having an autocross at BMW on March 19. It is not a race. I don't think either of you has an SCCA racing license, and we sure don't want the insurance coverage to think we are racing. SCCA is very specific about the terminology.

You know...we joke about that. It's an autocross not a race! Welll at SCR event in Orangeburg, we foound out the mall that was so nice to let us use their backlot on a saturday... well... to boost mall traffic they ran an ad in the Orangeburg paper explaining there would be a "stock car race held in the back parking lot". There were some disappointed Nascar fans. John Byrd signed several autographs to appease the crowd... we told them he was Jack Roush...

:)It may not be a race against people, but it is a race against time, really it's semantics but if it's to be called autocrossing and not a "race" it's going to mean a lot more typing! We could use a/c or just AC and people would know what we mean just like when we say PC instead of Politicaly Correct. See you at the AC event! PS, is there a bodily function dowload device there? ;D

PS, is there a bodily function dowload device there? ;D There's an old saying that's been around for sometime. "If Road Racing was any Tougher, It Would Be Autocrossing!" You should be proud of autocrossing and you should be proud to call youself an autocrosser. If you think that's too much to type, then just use "autox" or "AX." You don't have to demean yourself by using the word race - go ahead be proud that you autox! Besides......Autocrossers are much better looking than racers. ;D

You're right I should be proud! I'm a fine autocrosser caught in a less than fine budget! Which means VW's for now. Cheers! Greg
