Well I'm in Wilmington for the auto-x tomorrow. Dad and I went over to the site and helped a little with setup today. It should be fun, a big lot, larger than what we have at Knights without anything inside, no light poles, no medians.
Theres one STS-2 driver, their champ from last year. We'll see what happens!!
I'll post results and pictures tomorrow.

Well, its done... I ended up second to their season champ from last year. I had him till run 5 (of 6) when he killed a second off his time. Either way, it was a blast! Good course, great weather!

Sounds like I missed a good event. My son and I were planning to drive down for the day to watch. But when I saw the school and event coming up this weekend in town, we decided to wait a week for our first Autocross experience.
I registered us for both days. I am the dad, Kelly 42, and my son Dallas is 17. We will be burning it up in our 95 Saturn!
I look forward to meeting everyone!

Congrats LM on a good job and quick driving. Kelly, make sure you bring a minor waiver - signed by both parents!!!! (If a parent cannot be at the event, their signature is supposed to be notarized). It can be downloaded at SCCA.org The link for the waiver is: www.scca.org/Inside/Index.asp?IdS=0075A8-54F85D0&x=080|025&~=or, just search for Minor Waiver and it will come up as the "Minor Release and Waiver of Idemnity Agreement", under insurance. We will have these forms at the event, but typically the problem is the minor only brings one parent along.

And...bring a sworn affidavit testifying to the fact you did not name your son Dallas because you are a Cowboy fan.

And...bring a sworn affidavit testifying to the fact you did not name your son Dallas because you are a Cowboy fan. He was named Austin for 5 minutes. I told my wife that since his brother's name is Adam, that I did not like Adam and Austin. So she said Dallas and I figured I better stop before his name ended up San Antonio or Corpus Christi ! While we are not big sports nuts, I do have to admit that in 3rd grade I bought him a Cowboys jersey. But you must understand that my father-in-law HATES the Cowboys so I had no choice. There is nothing more satisfying than to have an 8 year-old calling to inform him every time the Cowboys scored against the Steelers!
