Still on the fence. Looking for a familiar face to come hold my hand and maybe give me a co-pilot/instructor rider?

Gonna be there....put the 114 octane in the Fiestada...put air in tires...put in a second seat (no belts yet...ran outa time). Have Colin healthy and ready to go...new brake stuff (master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, pads, etc.).
Yup....the fast fiesta (we hope) is heading to Greensboro!

Well, CCR was represented by NeonRacer, FastFrontier, Saabstory 1 & 2, Pleiades and others. Did quite well - holding up CCR honors with Mr. Rankins taking FTD over some heavy competition including several Lotus 7s and an Elise. The Fiesta took Saabstory 1 & 2 to a first/second place in E-prepared, NeonRacer took a 1st in class, and FastFrontier made some of the best smoke of day....All in all, lots of fun. Hard to get race tires warm, but still a fun event. Some sun, rain, sleet, snow, and wind (sometimes all at once) - but while the rest o' ya wimps wuz watchin wimmens basketball, we were smelling tire smoke and gas.
Ya-all shoulda been there!

Sorry Mike - my error! I was just going off of my adrenaline filled memory. But congrats none the less - you looked smooth and good out there. Sorry Rich, my camera battery died on me and I didn't get any photos of the Elise or the sevens (I think there were 4 of them and 3 actually ran). There were photogs there, looked like professional types and there may be pics on the triad site.

Too bad no photos of the Elise. Well, once again the Fiesta was the fastest car in the "Ford Class", which doesn't bode well for any type of manufacturer's challenge as promoted by NitroC5.
Triad had a nice course that started with a very fast slalom (almost a straight for the Fiesta) followed by a decreasing radius right that doubled back on you and then a short blast to a 180 around a single cone (fast in, slow out? slowin, fastout?) then another decreasing radius right leading to a slalom that took you to the finish line.
Congrats to Will Maham & Scott Farmer too for taking their class wins. Good showing.
Fun, fun, fun....

Jun - I agree with you. Would have loved to borrow the Elise to have some real fun. Guess he was breaking it in. I suspect the 7s, which all seemed to be on race slicks had the same problem I had - getting tires warm - although one of them seemed to get some speed up. You guys had a fun event.
