Placed an order with Josh yesterday for several photos and he included a few bonus photoshops in the deal He did a great job on them and I was very impressed! If it's ok with Josh, I can post up his chops so you guys can get an idea of what he can do. I'm really glad he was there to take the pics and hope he comes to future events. Lets continue to support him! Nate

Just a minor critique here: To get more excitement in your pictures, try panning with the car and using a slower shutter speed. This will blur the background while keeping the car in focus, thus imparting "speed" into your photographs.

Being this was Josh's first shoot at a motorsports event, I think that he did a killer job. We've been talking about him shooting the next event (guess it depends on how the sales of this one go). I'll mention the panning. I like both shots, the blured background looks sweet, as does the frozen car type image.

This will blur the background while keeping the car in focus, thus imparting "speed" into your photographs. He did that on a number of photos he took of my car, 85 Honda CRX (white). Look it up in the white and silver cars section of Josh's photos. They look cool.

Great shots Josh. I'll have to order a couple prints when I get back into town. Thanks for coming out and taking all of those. Usually we are lucky to get one or two photos from on course and this is nice to have all the angles and styles.
Thanks!

This will blur the background while keeping the car in focus, thus imparting "speed" into your photographs. Thanks for the comments neonracer. I think if you looked through more of the folders you'll find quite a number of panned shots. The shots of the cars coming around the corners were deliberatley frozen..as its hard to pan something thast is comign straight towards you. There is a delicate balance in describing motion and blurring the car too much (either from camera shake or the motion of the car). I found that 1/125 of a second and 1/160 were just about right. Thank you for the suggestions. Joshua Steinke
