So you need a Smack Down, hmmm. any one want to run the tough class with us PRO. I think if you win your class more than once in 5 years you should have to run Pro the nex year, know that would be interesting. Ha Ha. NO EASY CLASS. lets put a percentage of every Pro entry into a payout for the class. know let's hear it.
thanks Rob.

How many events do you guys run a year? Have to decide how much I'll have to spend.

Am already tired of sts2 talk. Lets discuss C/P . Who cares about girly cars in S.t.s 2? Meahattas and bee- em -wobblys? What you really mean is: You ain't good enough to drive in it, and you ain't smart enough to talk about it.

O.K. Um....very original. Especially good comeback for a guy who starts a trash-talking thread. How much slower do STS2 cars need to be in order to compete in C/P anyway?

How much slower do STS2 cars need to be in order to compete in C/P anyway? I figure , if you're gonna compete against ME , in C/P. You have to have that cute little tire trailer, fully loaded , with tires & tools, attached to your car when you run. Yea , that should make it fair. Better yet, You also have to balance a passenger on the tires on the attached trailer. Balance, as in, not tied in, no seat belts. If you loose the passenger , I win.

O.K. Um....very original. Especially good comeback for a guy who starts a trash-talking thread. How much slower do STS2 cars need to be in order to compete in C/P anyway? /quote] Sorry , had to keep the reply short so you could understand it. Did not mean to break your high heels. Let us look at the facts. My C/P car is really my wife's pride and joy. A bit short of a real C/p car. It is not far removed from a G/S car. My car for 2007: A low budget attempt at C/P. While I thank you for your warm and fuzzy invitation to compete in sts2, I do not have a car that fits there. So I wll run in C/p for 2007. Think of this. the S.V. O. had average street tires. The Merkur will be a thousand pounds lighter and have Hoos-your mama tires. May 14 C/P ............35.7 J bird.........34.4 1.3 seconds june 11 C/P...............40.4 Jb................36.9 3.5 sec C/P ............54.4 JB............50.9 3.5 SEC JULY 9 c/p.............39.4 jBIRD..........36.3 3.1 SEC HOW MUCH IS A HALF TON WORTH? How much are race tires worth? We are comparing apples and oranges here. But my guess is c/p in 2007 will bend your beak. I started this thread in hopes of inciting interest in C/P. Am tired of running alone. And sts II has close competition. Just trying to make another close class. James

You really don't catch on to trash-talkin' do you? 'Course I do. Only a page and a half and I have tweety feathers all ruffled. And Mr. Stock in prep, hopefully. not too bad. and you will lose that three and a half second advantage next year in your nimble little roadster. To a hood slinging, clock stopped ,stuck in time Russsian translating Merkur. ;D

I think if you win your class more than once in 5 years you should have to run Pro the nex year, know that would be interesting. I always said that if you got an FTP, then you go to pro.. put it in the supps. But heck.. you could say "if you go top 5 in PAX, go straight to pro class, do not pass start, do not collect a $6 trophy.." Jon

I agree pax in the top 5, next event you go to pro. but for how long. rest of the year. or next season, we don't want to hurt someones points if they are in a class fight.
lets make it interesting lets set the entry fee for pro up a $ amount and then pay out the based on finishing place of the extra collected. say we have 10 entries putting up $10 each then you have $100 to pay out say 1st place is $50 second is $25 third is $15 and fourth $10, or we coulds say 50 percent to a year end payout then divide up the other 50 for the event. if we have 10 events at 50 per event that could be a couple of hundred for the year end payout.
lets poke some holes in the pro class.
thanks Rob.

I still worry about $ for regional/local events. I think it introduces a whole other mindset.
Right now, it's about seeing how we stack up against each other, pushing each other so that we can all go fight for jackets and trophies in Kansas. We get to be a "team" more or less that fights for bragging rights.
If we throw $ into it, then it raises the stakes to a point that will make it less fun, or at least more expensive. Testing parts and setup at local events gets to be more of a risk (because you lose more than just bragging rights for the day) etc.
Keep it fun, keep it amateur.
