Continuing this year's "every other month" schedule, it's time for another rallycross! For this 3rd event of the season we'll be making our first visit to our "BMW Farm" site in Clayton. In our club's autocross circles, it is well established that 4WD cars require no real skill to drive, and their drivers are therefore talentless hacks. As these drivers struggle to find acceptance, they're being forced to learn to actually drive their cars or, in the local lingo, "dial the hack out". This time, event chairs (and Subaru owners) Brian Herring and Keith Vail bring us "Dial The Hack IN" as they show us what those cars are really good for! As usual, our chef-in-residence Christine will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs onsite fo r lunch. $5 gets you a hamburger or hotdog meal, including chips, a drink, and dessert. Veggie burgers are available if you request ahead! Event registration is now open at thscc.com/rallycross/prereg_rallyx.htmlFull event info, including times, prices, and directions are available here: thscc.com/rallycross/events/2006/2006-0506info.htmlHope to see you there! Just a reminder that our next event is coming up this Saturday in Clayton, NC. For those of you who've been to our BMW Farm site before, you may be interested to know that we'll be using a new field for this event which is more rectangular in shape and should allow us greater freedom in course design. Come on out and break it in right with us! As mentioned previously, we will be selling hamburger and hot dog lunch meals onsite for $5. If you think you can make it, please sign up via our easy online form at thscc.com/rallycross/prereg_rallyx.htmlFull event info, including times, prices, and directions are available here: thscc.com/rallycross/events/2006/2006-0506info.htmlHope to see you there! 39 drivers helped us break in the "new field" at BMW Farm, and a good time was had by all! Once again we were blessed with perfect weather, and there had been just the right amount of rain the night before to prevent dust without creating a soupy mess. Results are now posted at www.thscc.com/rallycross/events/index.html Photos will hopefully be available soon. Speaking of photos, we are starting an effort to include photos on our website, and you'll see that links to photos from our 2 previous 2005 events can also be found now at the URL listed above. Our next event will be on Saturday, July 1st, again at BMW Farm in Clayton, NC. Hope to see some of y'all there! Carl
