Now....while I know some about website design....I don't know a huge amount. Would it be possible to have some kinda of automatic alert on the forum page if someone was logged into the chat room?

I just do a manual alert and send the slapping sound so if someone has it running in the background they know I'm there.

I guess the idea is if you see others are on line and want to chat you can do so. Or, you can set up a prearranged time to have a chat with others on any topic, except how to improve gas mileage.

Well, when I do it - it takes me to AddOnChat software, which is what you add to your website to permit chat rooms.
I reloaded Java and it still didn't work.
