Y'know Team Subaru's thread is getting bumped by actual conversation, not just post whoring.

yeah...like, if I go back to my original wheels and remove the chip enhancements I can change classes and end up in a better position to win points. Shoot we have one member we haven't heard from in 6 months. Another who breaks frequently. A couple who foolishly loan their cars to sons to beat up.
But, thanks for the post....

BTW - Nice job Team BEER at the 24 hours. It was fun to see everyone out there even if the cars did not behave and a couple went home in less than stellar shape. (the fiesta included - it will be fixed soon).

I actually showed up for one or two races back in March! I just joined to participate in the beer-drinking events and Hooters girls!

Perhaps Team Beer needs to host the next vocabulary test? I would say dispute the meaning of critical and complain, that could be a good time had by some.

well- I visited the Suby forum and they have had a fascinating discussion on whether novice should be allowed to use R-Comp tires.

Post by C4Shane on Sept 7, 2007 9:13:32 GMT -5
just a simple matter of looking at the rule book, and the past many years of history where we have commonly had novices on R- comps or even slicks.

Novices can run in all of the classes and are under the same rules for cars as anyone else. They are just in a PAX class (so it makes no sense to be a novice in Tire class for example).

So, they spent an entire page of a forum talking about a Ford (Seafler - NFS Mustang) closely related to Team Beer....
Glad we didnt' restrict ourselves to one boring brand of car...such as International Beer Trucks...

Now can you run r-comps on those or are they on that roll over risk list? And what if its a novice driving?

It sure is much more laid back here in Team Beer than those Subie and Nissan guys. They seem to focused on winning, not enough on the pleasures of life.
Of course one could make the argument that there IS pleasure in winning, but I have not so much tasted of that pleasure. So I'll stick with beer until then.

Beer is available anytime, anywhere....regardless of your driving skills. So, it would seem reasonable to assume that you can taste winning (beers) anytime you want. For example, Sam Adams has several beers that have won international competitions. So, that would seem to define what "winning" tastes like, would it not?
When this is all over, we will have good tasting beer, and they will have worn out tires and cars with a couple of trophies that taste lousy and will only collect dust.

I try to take those 'international beer competitions' with a grain of salt. After all, Miller Lite seems very proud of having won several years of something. Like what? The 'Best Beer for Drunk People Who Can't Taste??" Or perhaps the "Best Beer When the Only Alternative is Boone's Farm?"
Mmm, I'm gonna have a beer at the Davidson Brickhouse tonight......

I take it you dont get to spend too much time in Milwaukee, or as its pronounced mill e wa que. I think its the Best beer for those who like lake water and cheese. But surprisingly enough, they do have a fairly good selection of Irish pubs which carry some of the best selections of scotch this side of the pond. Personally I will take the Beast!

And when free (or at a tailgate party) I will even drink the "Beast"....Hey, it is Alcomohalic or sumpin like that.....After 11 or so it almost duzzent matter...

Well I had a buddy who swore by the Beast his first 4 years of college! His logic was that it was in fact bottom of the barrel but that just meant that all the alcohol settled down there and it was the best value for the dollar. Of course this was the same guy who had the bright idea to get a keg, put me in a lawn chair with a tow strap as a seatbelt in the bed of his truck with said keg and sell pints in Chicago rush hour traffic. Yep, he is now a civil engineer.

Ok, So - back to autocrossing b/c the morons in the other classless groups seem to think all we talk about is, well, beer!
And they may be right....but the question is how many of you fine beer drinkers plan to be at our next event - Continental I believe....
I plan to be there, with Colin as the driver of the Fiesta (Fiestada)...chime in!
