Thanks Pdawg. The car has a ways to go to look like that, but there is hope. It is pretty much all there, just in rough shape from 9 years of storage. Gonna try to bring it back to its former glory. Here is an image of the interior in its current state: More to come!

It is my understanding that a few of you who autocrossed back in the early 90s with CCR and NCAC may remember this car.

Kewl - that is great. Well, I got it from Chris Simes, but there was another owner involved and it may have been David. In any case it was supposed to be a fast car (in 1990s MPH ) with a couple of NCAC championships and FTD more than once. O/C with inflation these days, speeds have gone up and as Enzo Ferrari used to say "Today's roadcar was yesterday's racecar"!!!!

Oh yeah - the Fiestada fired to life tonite. The motor sounds great and other than some blue smoke it seems like it will work. Will probably drive it up and down the drive way tomorrow.

I hope so. Especially if I can get the brakes sorted out. Seems to be the last major issue with it. We'll know more tomorrow.

Driveway= down the street and around the block. I had a V8 Beetle(68 body on shortened 72 cutlass chassis) when I was 19 and I remember going around the block lighting up the tires. Told grandma we were just sorting out the motor. Had 411's, detroit locker, ladder bars, No nose (left in the garage) no rear brakes, two milk crates for seats and the ignition switch was a on/off switch in my buddies hands. In case we got out of shape he was to cut the power. 350 chevy motor (boo, hiss!) I traded it for a caddy as it was way beyond my abilities at the time.Fabrication and driving! (saw it in 2002 at a swap meet, owner of the bus hospital in Plymouth Mass owned then)

I remember it! I may even have some pics....I'll look through old stuff tonight. It ran in some in SCCSC as well... David Agee was one of the early owners (SCCSC was the old Sports Car Club of SC based in Greenville, SC back in 80s and early 90s. Just a guess. Doubt it is David's old car, but who knows? If I can find Mindy's number i will call her & ask what happened to that Festiva. Sadly, David passed away about 3 years ago . well before his time. James
