I hate seeing an empty forum. The Carolina Cup Pro Series (CCPS) is a regional automobile racing series based in the southeastern United States. The series is designed to promote fun, hassle free racing with a professional atmosphere. CCPS is a points-based, team series, with cash awards for top finishers in each race and a cumulative cash prize for the overall points winner at the end the season. CCPS races are all 45 minutes in length with a mandatory 2 minute pit-stop. Many teams opt to run one driver per race, however rules allow for a driver swap allowing more drivers to participate and gain valuable seat time. www.carolinacupproseries.comMarch 7- 8 NCR @ VIR May 23-24 CCR @ CMP (dbl) June 27-28 NCR @ Rockingham CANCELLED Aug 15-16 SCR @ CMP (dbl) CANCELLEDOct 24-25 NCR @ VIR (dbl)

The CCPS has allowed my brother and I to afford to race when we wouldn't be able to otherwise. With the mandatory 2 minute pitstop, this allows us to co-drive the event and split expenses. Usually, Doug will practice the car and we'll fix any of his concerns before qualifying. I usually qualify the car and take the first stint. I bring the car in about 20-25 minutes into the race and hand it over to my bro. Not a bad deal. We haven't had a Cool Shirt in the past (but will for this season!!), so 25 minutes at a time in the car is about where I start falling apart. Try the CCPS! It's great racing, and cost-effective as well (and you usually don't hear those two things together!)

Also, what it is, is one of the best dang series that is run in these here parts. The organizers and participants are great.....always helpful, courteous, and interested. The racing is a hoot and you get a BIG bang for your racing dollar....most important these days. The series itself is also a great way for track organizers of other events to increase thier entry rosters. And...they put on a heck of a year-end banquet.....great comraderie, great food, live entertainment.....what more could a racer ask for? ....well, maybe lower diesel prices, tires that last a just a few more heat cycles......but I digress.

Gary, Thanks for the kind CCPS words. It means a lot to us. I'll be happy to make Sears Dynaglass tires the official ITA tire if it will help you out. They should last a lot of heat cycles. I try to listen to the CCPS members and give them what they want! Just say the word... I'll make it happen! Estus

Those Sears tires sound tempting.....but I'd likely flat-spot em' before they wore out anyway.....some things never change, ya know?
