I am new to solo..or will be new in 2011. Went to Carowinds this week just to watch and have done Super Car Sensations several times. Got the itch to do it for real. My uncle has run road courses for 30+ years, teaching schools etc. Unfortunately he is in Ohio so I am on my own except phone advice. I ran through the car class DIY but slightly confused. Any assist would be great. 2006 Solstice with below added: ECU flash Cat back exhaust GM Performance CAI Eibach Lowering Kit
I have extra stock rims so I plan to start out with those and add sticky road tires.....still undecided on brand etc. Would this be STX Legal...with N in front of course?
TIA for any help. Steve

STX is for 4-seat cars. Non-turbo Solstice is in STR. Solstice GXP is in BSP.

Thank you. STR it is. Are these classes strictly CCR? I do not see listed on the SCCA DIY sheet and would not have known w/o your help. Also when does the 2011 schedule usually come out? And will there be a novice school day again? Sorry for all the questions....I have spent the last few weeks reading and reading about solo..it is all overwhelming. In the end I know I just need to get started and learn from the pros on here. Thanks

All of the classes listed above are national classes. Not sure when the 2011 schedule will come out but I expect it will be in the next month or so. There is a novice school every year. We just wont know the date until the schedule is out.

I have some of our big dates locked down, still have some of the smaller sites left to schedule. Novice school is usually in March.
