By my count, between the events already cancelled this year, and the upcoming SCR event at CMP being changed to a PDX / Club Trial only non-points event, there will only be six championship series events (Spring Kershaw, Little Talladega, Road Atlanta, Robbinsville, Crow Mountain, and Roebling Road). Does this mean only three events needed to qualify for the season championship?
And, a related question - Will the new SEDIV TT website be updated anytime soon?

Your count and assumption is correct. There will be only 6 Championship events this year and 3 events will be needed to qualify for the year end class championships.
The sad truth is that we are just not getting enough entrants to these events to make them financially viable for the Regions to put on. Blame it on the economy but the decreasing car count is evident in the Regional Club Racing entries as well.
The TVR Region has been willing to accept a reasonable financial loss in order to keep the Points series alive. We lost money on TGPR and hope to break even on Crow Mountain. "Reasonable" is something that each Region has to define for itself.
SCR has decided to try a different format in order to make its event a financial success. I hope it is successful and they can return to holding Level 3 Championship Points events.

Crow Mountain Hill Climb and TGPR are the last two events on 2011. Want to claim a SEDIV TT Championship? THis is your chance to do so.
