You asked for it! You got it! Thanx to everyone who responded to my recent email about Roebling Road being cancelled and would you like to see another event. The sheer number of positive responses was significant. TVR and Alabama Regions will be co-sponsoring the “No Frills” Level 3 Track Trials SEDIV Championship points event at Talladega Grand Prix Raceway on 5-6 November 2011. The usual 2+ hours of track time is available. Instruction for Novices pursuant to obtaining a full TT license will be available. There will also be 1-2 PDX Groups. Run PDX both days or only one day. You can also work a day and get a PDX day at a reduced rate. Registration is open on www.motorsportsreg.com as soon as we get the sanction back from SCCA. The SEDIV TT Program appreciates your support over the years especially in these times of economic distress. Come on out and make this event a success.

I'm in!
Now's the time for all of you who want a viable Level 3 program to put up. If you don't want your only option on a flat track to be PDX, support this event and send a message!
Who else is going?

Registration is definitely open and the early results are gratifying. We appreciate all of the support.
We have plenty of room for more drivers. Last year we accommodated 62 drivers and gave everyone in excess of 2 hours of track time. That is a lot of bang for your buck.
Camping with showers is available at the track and there are electrical hook-ups for RVs.

I think that most of us got the e-mail from Craig Farr this morning - let's get a great turnout at TGPR in a few weeks and end this season on a high note. TVR did a great job on the Crow HC and they are willing to host another event this year (within a month of a major HC) - thanks guys!
If we are going to keep Time Trial nation going, it is up to each of us to turn out for every event that we can - and bring some friends!

Scott...I think we can beat Heikke at TGPR... he is only at his best when he CANNOT see around corners. ;D All this extra visibility around corners at the track will have him pining for the Fjords like a Norwegian Blue.

Ted I went to practise open fields in Atlanta Dragway last Friday. I think I got the hang of them there.
Again, this event is missing some Swedes!

Long range forecast says clear and 61 on Saturday and partly cloudy and 68 on Sunday. Doesn't get much better than that! If you're on the fence about going, climb down and put the car on the trailer!

We ended up with 42 TT drivers plus a few more PDX guys. The weekend was fantastic and there was as much track time as anyone wanted.
We also got to see Walt and Ann Wurzbach again, which is priceless!
TGPR turned out to be the best attended event of 2011.
Thanx to you guys for making the trek to Alabama.
