In preparation for a question I know is going to come in the next few weeks. Are there members that would be interested in showing their cars and representing the SCCA? It would be the weekend of April 21-22, which is the same weekend as the tentatively scheduled Evolution Series at zMax. I would be willing to open up to any SCCA member(prefer from the surrounding area), not just CCR in order to boost our showing.
Just post up if you would like to do it if we are invited. Being a conflict of events is why I am asking ahead of time if there is any interest. We would need a minimum of 10 vehicles. It is free to enter the show with your car and one additional person. You could go one day or both. It has always been a great time.

I plan to run the shootout.
Having said that - this is huge opportunity to recruit.. Just send interested people across the street to see what its like. Maybe some of the Road Racers can come out for Auto Fair?

That is my issue for attending as well. I'm hoping that we have members that might not be going and would like to get into the biggest car show in the world for free.

I'll do my best to have a car there.... Formula Jedi, Elvira or Bezerkely or sumpthin' strange.  THIS is a great show, a lot of fun and a great chance to create the opportunity for new members to find their way into our club! Don't feel like your car has to be concours perfect to put it in the show ... 99.9 % of our potential members do not own cars like that either. We're sharing our passion as much as we are sharing our cars. THAT.. and the fact we have a lot of fun. ;D  |

Thank you for bringing this up, AJ. Will be attending the board meeting Feb 9 And picking up our tickets on March 15. It would be handy to have a head count by March 4th. This show is gonna be tuff to have a decent display.

If you cannot make the autocross, or VIR event, please help. This is an ideal time to recruit. It is also a great time to see autofair with free Inside parking.

No worries at all if the car is not immaculate. I took the crx a couple times lol. The first time I did thrash to put the fenders and front bumper back on.

I will most likely be at the autocross, but I have an in car video of a complete race at Roebling Road with real time graphic overlays from my data acquisition system. If you want a copy of it let me know. It is rather large and long, but there are some pretty good moments dicing it up with two F500's and a FF if you want to cut and splice some segments.

I can bring out the 240 again. Especially now that I have the means to tow it there this time. I believe we should try to promote both events for one another and use it to get as much buzz going around as we can. I agree it would be great to have a few more Road Race cars out there this time

After all that effort there was only one trailer pass in the entire club's pass package. If we want members to bring something other than daily drivers then more trailer passes will be needed. I will bring out the big red one if trailer are passes are available.

Have been building a solid relationship with Larry over the past few years. Autofair is a great oppertunity for our club. Now we just need to capitalise on it. |
