NEIN! PAX designation should come before the base class. It has been a huge pet peeve of mine. You start cussing if you don't pay attention on manual entries when axware says F U you idiot when you do it wrong. Examples TDS LDS PDS NDS

The other thing is over the radio DST and DSP sound the same (and can cause confusion) - but TDS and DSP sound distinctly different.
Nationally, ladies classes are not run as index classes - so DSL is a base class and therefore LDSL would technically be the ladies grouped index class. LDS should be fine and makes sense for how CCR does their ladies index class.

Something I realized last night is Pro SS. If done wrong it looks like a different class. PSS v. SSP
Thank you Matt. I knew ladies was different. Do you know how axware accepts it? I'll find out today, wait no I won't. Vanessa is in open now.

Do you want a tire that you can still drive on the street to and from the event? I.E. a street tire? If so, the hot tires right now are the Dunlop Z-II and the BFG Rival. The Hankook RS-3 is another favorite.
If you want a tire dedicated to only autocross events, as in you will either trailer your car in or you will carry the extra set of wheels with you and swap them on at the event, then you can look at Hoosier A6's. I know nothing about race tires other than the fact that I am now addicted to Hoosier A6's.

That's what I'd expect, but I never want to ass-u-me anything. ;D Ok, another question: Is the tire class purely a PAX (RTP) class or is there an additional "street-tire modifier" used to adjust the index factor (I've seen .97 and .98 used sometimes). Steve, Their is no modifier on the Tire class PAX. It is run off the base 2012 PAX numbers. That's all well and good for position in Tire class, but for PAX overall, you're still running against the guy with Hoosiers you can't possibly beat. This becomes important in the shoot out formula. I see the shoot out problem has been fixed, so never mind that.

P.S.
I would have finished sixteenth of nineteen at zMax if I had chosen to run in Tire class instead of first of two in FS, not counting the Cadillac. I have to admit, though, that the Cadillac would probably have been faster if his air bags hadn't deployed on his second run.

keep in mind DeWitt, that if the blk Camaro, that ran FS with you at Bristol, had decided to run open class instead of deciding to be mid-pack in T, you'd have been behind both of them (they both ran in the 77.xxx)

Gary Kittel was handing out the time slips at the finish. He finished 11th in Tire class and his son Jonathan finished 9th. They were complaining about a lack of power, though. I wasn't driving very well, to put it mildly. For one thing, I had new and wider Dunlop Direzza ZII tires and I expected too much from them. But they were only four seconds faster than me. I could see gaining that much time. They were only two seconds faster at Bristol and I think I know where I could have gained that much time. To finish sixth in Tire class at zMax, I needed to gain about 6.7 seconds and to win, about 7.7 seconds. I don't know if the car is capable of going that much faster. DeWitt Payne 2011 Mustang GT
