Hey, I was curious about the program where you sign up and get the autocross free. I have a friend who is going to be coming along with me. If she signs up for the scca there will the autocross be free for this event? Does she need to pre-register if she is going to do this? Thanks for the help! You dont need to preregister, but we would appreciate it. Print out the scca, membership form and bring payment with you. Use my member number as referral if you like to (coming by PM). They will give you the first event free

Pre-registration is recommended for a number of reasons. Apply for membership on site to receive free event. Forms are available on site.

We are a little over a week away, lets get registered so we can see what we have to do with the worker assignments and run groups.

Josh S. you have me intrigued. Btw I'm told you blew another engine.

hahahah well played Josh....and yes, the trans and diff issues led to excess load being put on the engine. when we dropped Jon K's trans and diff in the car that load was freed and shortly there after it started rod knocking like an old Mercedes diesel (after doing three pulls on the dyno where the power dropped a noticeable amount after each run). Excitement, I can haz.

Josh you have to ride with me for at least one run at zMax. So you can compare from your ride along at the Novice School. I'm on Star Specs now ;D. And a beefy as hell rear sway too.

Looks like we're gonna miss this one, Jon blew up the kart engine Saturday afternoon and not enough time to get it changed. I guess nearly 4 hours on track is beyond a 20 year old engine's design parameters. :

We are going to try to do the worker postions as we did at the last event.
you can sign up for any heat but the one you run in. it is a first come first served. work group. when the sign in sheet gets filled it will be closed to further workes until the all the worker sheets are filled then we will let the later entries sign up to double up on the work stations.

Rob, WAY too soon. PM sent. Run groups will be finalized Friday evening at close of pre registration. 13 more registered since then, and I 'll bet we'll get another 10-15 before registration closes. However, i do like the idea of knowing where I'm running before I arrive.

I believe that he odds are in my favor that the additional entries will be spread out over the 4 heats. just reworked the run groups and they still work.
2 CRAMPED QUARTERS RUN HEAT.
HEAT 1 STD, STC, STS, STR, STX 25
HEAT 2 PREP, MOD, SM, SMF, PRO 27
HEAT 3 SS, AS, BS, CS, DS, ES, 25
HEAT 4 STREET- PREP, FS, GS, HS, STU, UNC. 25
#3 TARGET PRACTICE : TOP GEAR
HEAT 1 STREET TIRE (T) (13) STREET-PREP (12) FS, GS, HS (4) TOTAL 29
HEAT 2 STF, STC, STS, STR, STX, STU TOTAL 30
HEAT 3 PRO 22, MOD 9 TOTAL 31
HEAT 4 SS,BS,CS,DS, ES 16 PREP 10 UNCLASSED 1 CART JR. 1 TOTAL 28
the nice thing is that we don't have to be exat equal for each heat. the worker sign in sheet covers the inequities.
thanks Rob Falkner

Keep an eye on this thread come 7 tonight for official run groups.
Rob is doing a good job with the initiative he took. I forgot he is trying to keep the run groups similar for every event so they can rotate when they run.
