The 2014 Time Trial Rules are now available at www.scca.com/clubracing/content.cfm?cid=44472As with the changes at the end of last year, there is a Driver's Information Manual for PDX and CT and another Drivers Manual for TT and HC. These two documents are everything that a driver needs to know to participate. There is also an Organizational Information TTR that provide Regions with the information necessary to conduct an event - PDX, CT, TT, HC.

Does this mean that there is now no requirement for physicals or licenses since details on those items are not covered in the rule book? If they still are, a mention of such in the rule book would be of use along with a link to direct newcomers to the requirements site.

PDX/CT have never had a requirement for a TT license. TT and HC always have had. The requirements to get a TT license have not changed.

Craig,
The "PDX & Club Trials Driver's Information" states "A SCCA Time Trials or Competition License is not required" and since a license is not required neither is there a medical requirement.
Since track trials and hillclimbs do require licenses and therefore the requirement of a completed medical form, I think the question that has been asked points out the "Track Trial & Hillclimb Driver's Information" does not include this information. Information about and/or a link to the medical form and license application forms would helpful.

Dave et al. The TT/HC rules state: • Those who hold a SCCA Time Trials Competition license, or • Those who hold a SCCA Time Trials Novice permit, or • Those who hold a SCCA Competition License (Novice or Full), or • Those who hold a racing license from a recognized motorsports organization. We did not think it necessary to put the details on how to get any of the licenses that could be used. I guess we could have said that details on how to get a TT or Road Race license could be found on www.scca.com. At the time we were writing this, the SCCA license rules were going to be changed and since have been. Similarly, the GCR shows what other organizations licenses are acceptable. But if any Region has a local group with appropriate licenses, they could put that detail in their supps and accept them that way. The thought was to open it all up. The couple of questions that we are now seeing do show that we did not make it fool proof

Does it still require that the hosting region put the accepted non-SCCA non-GCR listed licenses in their supps?
And specifically: are Chumpcar and 24 Hours of Lemons "recognized motorsports organizations"?
