Time to start up the Social Thread for the next exciting event. Seems like attendance has been growing! Some newbies have dropped in over the last few. Clint showed up at the last one at the Saucer (he is in the pic wid da gurls in kilts) and yamdankee graced us all wid his presence. We even had videos of drag racing fire trucks to enjoy, courtesy of soloracer and Mrs Vlad. JB honored us with his wisdom (re: Michelin tyres) and so on.... we did need to keep the be-em-dubya driver separate from the me-otter drivers, but that was ok.... Frito Pie burgers....smack, slurp..yum...and a pint o' Guinness....well looking forward to next 'un. Same place? sumpin different? Razzoos has purdy gurls too!

Well the Saucer was good... other than the smoke.

yeah...there is that....of course we could reserve the back room and control that problem. I just thought the smoke was from JB thinking about his Indy GP experience....
but - we can also pick uther places...but, the Saucer is nice and friendly!

If we do it on a Thursday nite, we could watch some Drag Racing in Mooresville. Personally, I'd prefer tire smoke to boobies.

I can appreciate your view on tire smoke. I, however, will watch boobies much more intensely than tire smoke!!!

Vinnie's by the lake is another good place. VERY nice staff, easy to get to (Exit 33 off 77).

Mooresville is way far from Waxhaw... If it's there, y'all enjoy... I most likely won't make it.

Wellllllll....I could do the tavern..it was a fine place. We were just trying to rotate the tires a bit and enhance the scenery....Sheryl (TireBuyer and registrar) isn't impressed with Hooters (refers to them as "deficient" and "false advertising" at that particular location)...prefers the Flying Saucer (again) or suggested South End Brewery for a more southerly view.
from Asheboro area, Mooresville is about 2 hour drive, so I may not make that either...but sometimes that is just the way it will be.
So, I vote for Hooters...at Speedway...Tirebuyer votes for South End Brewery (but would support another event at FSaucer if that is of interest)
