May i ask for a RSVP? if i get enough interest i will book the private room. They require a deposit , and since i have been told this would be a poorly attended meeting , i will not throw down the deposit.
With enough interest i will risk the deposit on my own dime. Anyone not attending may miss a great deal of information.

HELP!!!
Having not previously attended the Region's newly established (a job well done!) monthly meetings due to the involved four hour round trip from Asheville and primarily because of the requested RSVP, hopefully some definitive information could be posted as follows:
-Will the February 7th meeting be more social or overall Region Business related?
-Will a meeting agenda be made available before the 7th?

Mike Burke Asheville 828 258-2442 A partial agenda: I would like to discuss: 1. shop tours 2. a karting outing. 3. a meeting place that allows civil conversation at less decibles than a Rod Stewart concert. 4. upcoming solo season, and 5. if i remember the TT scedule. This (i hope) will contain a fair amount of business instead of just monkey business. In addition, at any social in the future i will try to post results of topics. |

James, appreciate your new ideas and effort on the socials. I am thinking about trying some of your ideas with our SWCCCR Group as well!
We hold ALL of our meetings in Greenville but we have many folks that attend from Clemson, Columbia, Gaffney, Asheville and WNC area. None of them have complained about making the trip but moving it around to include all the people in your area is a great idea.
You will always make some unhappy with location... that is life.... but if people want to come, we have found that the travel is worth it for the fellowship and fun. Keep up the good work!

I spoke with one of the managers of Quaker Steak and Lube in Concord and they agreed to let us have the bar side/ back room if we can let them know a number and in advance. Again Thursday nights is "All you can eat" breaded boneless wings and 2.50 pints.
Just like Ted said though. If we have these on Tuesday nights or weekends I can't make it due to work but whatever is best for the larger concensus is obviously what is gonna be best. Again cheers to James for putting this all together time and time again

And still, no "south Charlotte " destination has been identified. The Waldhorn is South Charlotte.... and often gives us a private area.... but people think it's too expensive.  Back on topic of THIS meeting, though. I've been working with some people to come up with an idea to make this season a little more fun and interesting, and hope to be able to make the announcement at the social. BE THERE!  |

I would like to address a few questions asked in this thread. The Charlotte meeting, SW (Greenville) Chapter meeting and any others in our region are socials. All club business is handled at the annual banquet business meeting, or by the BOD as directed by our bylaws that I get so frequently reminded of. Any new program or other announcements concerning the club will be passed through the proper channels before they are presented to the membership. Just a friendly reminder. |
