Hey Mark... love to have you man! Here's the scoop... 1.) License - Normally, you apply for Novice license ($35, a form and a self medical form). You can run all the normal track events we hold here in the SE (TGPR, Barber, Road Atlanta, Roebling, etc.) After successful completion of 3 flat track events, you may be granted a Full TT Competition license. For many of the LEvel 4 hillclimbs, hosting regions have the right to require a full TT Competition license due to risk and danger. For the Dragon, SCCA has allowed us to allow drivers to compete on a novice license and our region requires novices and first time drivers at the Dragon attend a class session on Friday night at Microtel before the event and take a slow drive up the hill with an experienced driver on Saturday morning after Driver's meeting. So, send in $35, application form for novice license and self physical (be sure and turn your head when you cough). Forms can be found under the Forms tab at www.sedivtt.com You will recieve a log book for your car ($12) and a Novice log book and after 2 more events, can apply for a Full TT competition license. The other 2 events do need to be flat track events and we do give credit for past wheel to wheel experience. We also accept competition licenses from some other racing organizations. (See TT rules at www.sedivtt.com and supps for event - under event flyer / Entry form at My auotevents page). 2.) Bar - You do need a 4 point bar... thickness and specs are here. www.sedivtt.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/2014_TT_HC_Driver_Rules_final.pdf3.) Nomexs - Page 2 of TTR above explains what nomex gear is needed. I have 12 suits of loaner gear in the Second Gear Program that was donated by past drivers and current drivers (that had their nomex shrink over winter). This is loaned at no charge, first come first served. Pick up and return either at my house or at event... responsible for condition returned. You can pick it up 2 weeks before the event and return it week after event. Does not include helmet or shoes but shoes wit leather uppers are allowed (see rules). 4. Supp Regs are under the "Event Flyer / Entry Form " tab at myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=14458 Let me know what I can do to help with registration, classing, lodging, etc. If can't run this one, I recommend you come help staff this one and learn a lot that will help you when you do run. All lodging at Microtel for Friday night, food and worker gifts/raffle are free including steak dinner at social Saturday night. Message me if you are interested ... we are first come first serve on workers. Need name, age, any experience and days you are willing to commit to. It's a lot of fun and a great bunch of drivers, staff and fans. Thanks Ted Attachments:
