There was some great footage taken from above by a quadcopter but the good footage was of the cars rolling downhill not racing up. What gives with that? If you had real time sequential shots broadcast to a matrix board there would be no need to open up more spectator areas.

Personally I would prefer drones be kept well away from any road, track, et. while I am actually competing. I have no doubt they have skilled pilots but I don't want the added concern. Drones overhead during drive downs or after a race shouldn't be an issue. Many cars run wi-fi, Bluetooth, or radio in their cars while competin. While not likely I could see electronic conflicts being an issue with control systems of the drones. I can promise you of a drone collided with my car at an event my first action would be to track down the drone pilot and beat him bloody.

None of our enemies in Iraq seem to notice them until they are blown to smithereens. We don't seem to have any problem there. But if a driver wanted his run recorded. Could he/she ask that a quadcopter be allowed for that one run?
