Is anyone planning on going to Florence on the 23rd with the Scr guys? I'll be switching to tire class from here out until I can afford serious tires. Or a serious cash infusion to FSP with the bug. and race tires.
Anyway, anyone going?

I'll be going, Greg. I'll post some more info when it becomes available.
For those of you who don't know, the Florence Civic Center probably gives us the one of the best (if not the best) parking lot venues in the Carolinas - at least as far as CCR and SCR are concerned.
I'ts probably 2 1/2 times the size of BMW or Knights.
Has one row of islands in the middle that need to be dealt with on course design, and there's another huge lot for parking/paddock.

You know I am.
This is my favorite site we SCR folk do all year. Close to home, decent selection of restaurants, HUGE lot, good paddock, great places to shoot pictures, usually good competition.

I'll be there... TJ has been running less than 1 second off of me at Clemson Sports Car club events . Since I out weigh him by 100 pounds, I'm trying to make it fair by handicapping. I think that's reasonable and justifiable. The handicap is if he beats me, he gets no allowance for 3 months... I'm just hoping J Byrd has a competitive set of runs.... new shoes would help. And when I say new shoes, I mean ....

Maybe with that hundred xtra hp you can keep up.

Thanks for the compliment. I know it seems like it sometimes but my Miata ACTUALLY has less HP than your Z3! ;D

I know you won't be able to keep up with me in it.

Sweet girls are good. Only a few are PDawg drool worthy....Well, it rained and hailed hard here today. Didn't get to work on the "Fiestada" so it will have to run tomorry on the same tires, set up etc as I had at the last Triad event. And that was a very cold day so i will have to guess at my pressures.
But at least my neighbor had a quiet day and didn't have to here me tune the motor.
All the rest of ya have fun at SCR. I will wear out the GBoro Coliseum parking lot. I think we are taking some kids from Brenners hospital on fun runs.

Ok ok...i went to brenner's ridealong..and instead of a little kid excited to be in a race car...I get snubbed B/C the next rider wanted a convertible and I didn't have time to cut off the roof. So I get m8gr8mbl32 who has to be about the only one out there older than me. Well that is ok...he probably needed to ride through the course as his walker may be broken....I'll bring mine to the next event. Slick idea tho..we took kids on a slow ride around the course and were supposed to stay within a half car length of the car in front of us (did I mention I don't have brake lights???) Anyways, we left with a bunch of smiling kids (I think they enjoyed the helmets more than anything) and happy parents. kewl idea. Lots of fun. And, they had great media coverage from local press. Showed that autocross can be a positive influence in addition to a lot of fun.
Ok, we tried to do our part for CCR, but Colin and I just couldnt' seem to get it right all day... he forgot how to shift gears, I forgot to turn the wheel after braking for the turn..and overall we screwed around with tire pressures until we had no clue...even changed to different compound tires to make sure we were confused...and managed to do all this during only 4 runs!!!!! For those in management, you are familiar with the phrase "paralysis by analysis". Well, there is next time and congrats to our valient competitors who stomped on us.
