Shane and I were talking about autocross photos. A friend's son does photography (on the side). He has a nice Nikon D50. I may be able to get him to come to the May event and shoot photos.
If so, would anyone like photos of their car on-course?
If so, would you be willing to pay for the photo (if he charges)?
I haven't worked out any details yet, just trying to get a feel for if anyone is interrested.

If he gets a good action shot (suspension under load, one wheel off the ground, rolling the car on its roof, etc.) I'd pay $10 for a glossy 8x10. If he burns a shot or two onto a CD, I'd pay $5. Either way, I would want a e-mailed proof before actually ordering anything.

I talked with my friend Josh today at Auto Fair. He's planning on coming to the May autocross. I don't know if he'll be there both days or just one.
Josh hasn't photographed a motorsports event before, so it'll be a good learning experience for him. I sent a link to him of the photographs the pro shot at the Greensboro event a few weeks ago.
After the event Josh is going to post the original photos, in full size. Those will be available for free to all - without any kind of watermark. In a seperate section he'll post ones he has to do some processing on, those will be available for about $3 (price not set yet).
If any details change I'll let all know.

I personally was looking for someone who would run a video camera for the weekend. i have the camera, just need someone to run it.
