The wife and I are coming to the 2-day event in May and staying at the Hampton Inn in Rock Hill. What are some good non-chain restaurants that have either
a) Bass Ale on tap (Any cuisine) b) A good wine list (Italian place)
and yes, jbyrd, Golden Corral and Fire Mountain are chains. No, prune juice does not quailfy as wine.

You're asking a Baptist about wine?

Do I need to remind you of the bible passage where Jesus drank wine at a wedding feast? (We'll leave that thread for another board.) Besides, in this picture isn't that American beer you're drinking, or is it apple juice?

AWWWWWW
You HAD to say it. I was thinking it...but I didn't say it.
AMERICAN BEER = PEE
(with a few execptions, of course ie: Yuengling)
That reminds me of a joke: What do American beer and sex in a canoe have in common?

So....
I am still wondering if any of you locals can suggest a nice restaurant to take the wife to after the May 13th event.

Getting back on topic, Not familiar w/ Rock Hill area but North off I 485 in the Ballentine area are a number of good places. Villa Antonio has opened in the area. Great Italian food but last time I was there a little pricey. Flat Rock Grill is good but sort of a chain. A little further down 485 off Rea Road is City Tavern, Firebirds plus others. Lots to chose from in that area. Sports bar called Fox & Hound should supply you all the Bass you need!

Tam's Tavern, which is down at Cherry Road and either India Hook or Oakland Rd., right by Winthrop College (they call themselves a University, but let's be real) is a good choice. Scott "Righty" Franklin www.NutDriver.org
