So one may be either exalted or smote (smitten?, smited?) Boy, that's a lot of pressure. What's the record to a negative karma?
"Oh Please like me! Please! Oh pleeeeease!" Yeah. That's never gonna work for me...
So, brief introduction/history: I'm Brad Gates. I moved from the left coast three years ago. Prior to my exile, I was a very active autocrosser and hillclimber, and did a short stint roadracing. I was very active in some non-scca clubs (the nearest scca region chapter was 250 miles away). When I heard that someone (Foothills) was putting on an autocross in Hickory, I ran out and bought the first beater Rabbit I could find. Now I am ordering parts, chasing bugs, and hope to be at an event very soon. I came to this site to scan the classifieds, and ended up sending in my membership renewal/app. I've autocrossed 34 different cars that I could think of (wrote a story for a newsletter about it), at well over 100 events, in all categories and many classes. This makes me experienced, but not necessarily any good at autocross. I thought I was cured of this sickness, but apparently not.
There. Not so brief, but if you knew me, you'd think so. Soon, I hope to be brave and post outside this welcome thread.
Brad.

Yep. Sounds like we got some commons - it does. I'm probably smarter though. ;D
I'd tried to think trough it last year, and after thinkin' about 15 - 16 cars I've driven in autocrosses, I quit tryin' to remember them all.
Get's tuffer to remebber sometimes.

I hope to see you at the may event. Thanks. I hope to be there, and perhaps even meet Rabbit autocross demi-god Zimmerman. I'd to pick his brain a bit.

Welcome to the forum!!! May you waste much time here, like many of the rest of us do when it is raining!! Darn, Raining today, so can't drive the Fiesta up and down the road terrorizing the roosters, turkeys, and dogs at the neighbors farm... Guess i will have to wait till later in the week to "warm it up" for the event....
Bring it out Brad - What class will you be in?

If I can find bumpers and hardware, FSP. If not, I suppose I will be just another one of the turkeys being terrorized by the tiny ford.

Its all about fun!!! Don't know about getting terrorized by the Fiesta...shees .. lot tougher in FSP where you get Zimmerized!!! ROFL....
Rode with Geoff Z at one event...he was nice enuf to let me weigh him down and it was amazing - helped me pick up a few pointers quick on lightweight FWD ...took a big leap this year from a GStock car to Eprep..so a lot of learning on what the car likes/dislikes...nuttin like the old Saab 99Turbo that had throttle lag you could measure with a calendar and huge understeer until a rapid transition to huge oversteer...LOL.. Look forward to meeting you and chatting about AX.

Welcome! That rabbit is very clean. Nice. Look forward to seeing it run. JB2 It photographs well. It's actually kinda rough. I, too, am looking forward to seeing it run. Still having some fuel issues, but will hopefully be sorted out in time. More concerned about the drive to the event than the event itself. Didn't get as much done as I had hope over the last couple of days... EP is looking more likely than FSP at the moment. Make sure to introduce yourselves at the event, so I can match the faces to flames

I'll be wearing a red Fiesta...with an Ohio State Logo on the bonnet. Also, I have a secret identity as one of the work stewards...so usually easy to find in and around the blue van.

I had a great time at the autocross today. Thanks to all of you for introducing yourselves, pointing me in the right direction, and not laughing out loud at my car and/or driving. Look forward to seeing you all again. Brad.

Sorry i dont think i got a chance to introduce myself, i was driving the 85 Honda CRX (white with a black hood). I was sick this weekend, so I kept to myself.
I didn't see anything to laugh at. Not sure I know which car was yours. I think is was the late '80's model VW (white).

Not sure I know which car was yours. I think is was the late '80's model VW (white). I was the white Rabbit (pictured somewhere above)- pitted straight across from you, I think. I saw you run while working the course; very nice runs, and a very good car, I thought. I'll introduce myself to you next time.
