I feel compelled to say this but we need to have much more of thoughts for others as to when it comes to actions that may offend the others that are around you. I have been in this Sport for 23 plus years and the competitors are my extended family.
what happened this weekend in the timing van in the first run group, in regards to language was over the top on what would be normal for conversation. Yes my wife who works in a body shop with the language that is there, was very offended by what was carried on. one of the guys commented that "they should keep it down "and was told "it's just between us guys" not acknowledging anyone else.
I think that these three individuals need to be more aware of what may offend others.

I was running in group one, so I don't know the specifics.
However, I did hear some comments about the language, and was bothered by the fact that it would have been bad enough to be talked about on the grid.
Agreed.

I was at the van during the time boxster550 mentioned. I missed the altercation he spoke of.

I was in the van at the time so I was one of the three guys. Since I offended Sandra I'll be the first to apologize.
I wish she had said something during the time we were in the van. I admit we were using foul language at certain points, however, it was no different than language I have experienced in the van in prior events.
Still, that's no excuse and I will be more tactful in the future. I will make it a point to apologize to her in person the next time I see her.

Steve, i'm sure that Sandra would appreciate it. It is hard sometimes to say you are sorry, thanks for the first step.

Does this mean I'm going to need to watch my language around the men?

Does this mean I'm going to need to watch my language around the men? Not around me, PDawg, JB, SaabStory, RoadBoy, SoloRacer... you know the crowd from here!

Profanities can't hurt me. Sticks & stones, now that's another story.
