Somebody please refer me to a nice cheap place to get tires mounted in the south charlotte area. The last time I had some mounted around here it was at a tire kingdom and they hit me with this 'performance tire' surcharge which was a straight up tripling of the price! Obviously I'd also like to avoid the type of place where you'd be risking damaging your wheels to get that low price..

I have had two sets of tires mounted @ Buffalo tire in Pineville N.C. (on 51) The first were Yoks (Parada Spec2s) which they mounted w/o problem at about $15.00 per wheel. They are a Tire Rack preferred mounter. Next I had them mount Kumho V710s on some Rota Slipstreams. They charged me the same price and did a good job BUT said if I ever brought them race tires to mount again, they would charge me $30.00 per wheel! Not sure what you want mounted but watch out! Job was good both times though.

Try P1 Automotive in Fort Mill. Don't remember what they charged me for switching my Hoosiers, but it was reasonable. Rich Little told me about them. www.p1auto.com/

I live in south Charlotte and work at a Goodyear service center. Its located just off Rea Rd. If you are who I think you are I believe you have been there before. I also think I may have help fix a problem you had there. I may be able to help with your tires. Im always interested in helping a fellow performance enthusiast. PM me if your interested.

Thanks for the info guys! I sent roadboy a PM. I've gone to P1 before to get my car corner balanced and also once to get tires mounted. P1 is a bit expensive on the mounting but they do a very good job... absolutely no risk of rim damage over there!
Thanks Joe, I may go to Buffalo if time is short. I'm in street touring so they shouldn't feel the need to ask me to pay extra for mounting.

I'd do it for the low low cost of a burretto and that set of RE070's you've got... but you too far from the ATL.
