Don't think anyone has posted these here yet, but I grabbed these from Google Maps. First is NTI, compared to Knights the lot is small but it is almost perfectly level: And our home course at Knights, I really hope we can keep this site for years:

Which part of NIT are we using? The back (top in the pic) section?

Which part of NIT are we using? The back (top in the pic) section? Yup, the back lot (top part of the map). The usable area is definitely smaller than Knights but still sizable enough to make for a fun course. At the last two events they had the building open, which offers the best facilities of any event I've been too: a nice cafeteria with a ton of tables/chairs and lots of newer vending machines, along with clean restrooms down the hall.

What about islands? Those concrete looking thingies all over the place? Or is that just markings on the pavement?

Just paint...also, it's usually pretty dirty, crushed pop cans, candy wrappers and the like(hopefully the only used rubber on the lot will be from Hoosiers and Kumhos)...we've got six brooms in the van...anyone?...anyone?...Buehler?...
You can really see the wet spot in the lower right at Knights...and wouldn't putting in another crossover be nice...3 lots WOOHOO!!!

Hey Steve, can you climb up there in your satellite on race day and get a shot of course layout?

Hey Steve, can you climb up there in your satellite on race day and get a shot of course layout? I'm not an astronaut but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Here's a pic of the Dixie Fairgrounds in Winston Salem, looks like there's a decent chance we'll run the 24hr event there in September (Labor Day weekend).

But you didn't get the oval in the back... that's where we did the 24 last year.

Hey Steve, can you climb up there in your satellite on race day and get a shot of course layout? hahaha Google uses older images, they have to be a c ertain age (the pictures) legally because of our government. Something like 2 years.

Something like 2 years. Yet another compelling reason to activate a vintage class. Lately my times do not need a computerized readout. Carbon dating works well. James
