I thought that last part would get your attention!
As some of you may have heard, there will be a 'club cup' trophy at the NCAC this year. It is a points system similar to what we use for year end points. We must unite and take down the other clubs. CCR MUST have this trophy!
We need as many 1st & 2nd place finishes as we can get to secure the win.
IF CCR Wins the club cup, CCR will provide free entry for the 24hrs for any competitor that competes for "team CCR" at the NCAC and wins his/her class. CCR will provide a $10 discount to any autocross for anyone who competes for CCR and finishes 2nd in their class.
These 'payouts' will only happen if we win, so recruit as many people as you can!
VICTORY WILL BE OURS!
Steven

KEWL!!!! Okey Dokely neighbor.. gonna have to put some big sneakers on the fiestada and see what we can do!
Haven't regs yet - trying to convince TireBuyer to drive the Fiesta as an EPL car. That might give ya an extra point or so.

Steven, Steve Shin and I were talking about this the other day. Although we don't have as many members registered for the NCAC, we believe we have a great chance of winning and placing, and winning overall points, being that the rules are that you only score points when there are other regions competing in the same class. If you break it down, we feel that we have a very competative chance, looking at the current entry list.

Did anyone see any other EM or SM2 cars registered?
I know if I reg in EM and get bumper I go to DM. If you register in SM2 and get bumped, do you go to SM?
I plan on running in the NCAC but havent decided what class to run in. Depending on what tires i have left by then I can run either class. I'm trying to avoid running by my self and getting bumped. I want to go where I stand the best chance of victory. ;D
Can anyone help with a little research to find these things out?
Thanks RB

I don't think there is bumping in the NCAC. Wasn't done last year, anyway.
However, a victory in a one car class does nothing for the team championship.

I think there are SM2 cars registered, but they are listed as "SSM".

Go to the registration and check it out. When I registered, the "drop down" told me that STS2 would be listed as "STT." I'm sure it did the same when you registered. What does it say for your class?
SSM would be a logical abbreviation for SM2.

You can only do what you can do. If you're interested in helping the team, but there is no one else in your class, then you gotta' find a new class/car/whatever. It looks like a lot of Miatas and Porsche 914s registered in SSM, so my guess is that SSM is SM2. See no EMs however.

I could be there to represent STS....I'm sure CCR has STX well covered.
edit: nope...no room in the budget...and I'm sure there will be 89 Civic Si's out....and I'm fresh outta those to drive.

Well, i have the option of going into either EM or SM2 because I have to different sets of tires I can run. One set is DOT approved the other is race only.
I plan to have fun no matter what, but if I can help the team, I will go into the class I stand the best chance in.
Any other race annalists out there that would like to chime in?

Come to Orangeburg with me. John, repeat after me: "I'm not going to Orangeburg. I will be attending both days of the NCAC to try and win the ST2 title and help my club bring home the NCAC Club Cup" ;D

John, repeat after me: "I'm not going to Orangeburg. I will be attending both days of the NCAC to try and win the ST2 title and help my club bring home the NCAC Club Cup" ;D You're more delusional than me, Sleeper. Understand, now. Relax and understand. I CAN'T BEAT JIM FEINBURG IN STS2!!!!!!
I CAN'T BEAT SCOTT SAWYER IN STS2!!!!!!!I AIN'T THAT FAST!!!!!!Whew! Now with that said.....the most - and I mean the absolute MOST - I can hope for is to try to battle the other 6 (entered) STS2 cars in NC for 3rd place. Even that is a stretch. Scott will represent CCR much more strongly than I can, so how much can a POSSIBLE 3rd place finish help CCR? Meantime, I'm working on six-in-a-row in SCAC. Still, my options are open.

Scott will represent CCR much more strongly than I can, so how much can a POSSIBLE 3rd place finish help CCR? With you driving it will make our CCR presence in ST2 all that stronger. 3rd place gets two points and 4th place gets one point. What if you don't show up and we lose the cup by one point? You'd never hear the end of it! You can drop two SCR events, this is a no brainer. I will not let up until I see you at both days of the NCAC!
