I am pleased to announce that my new photo hosting site will allow for purchase, digital downloads. Some of you expressed an interest in just purchasing the digital file itself, without having to buy prints. The new hosting site that I switched to will allow that. I look forward to many great photos at the 24hr event. Let me know if you have any questions.

hey let me know when I'd be able to buy out the pics you took at lowes. I'm wanting to do a 30x20 of it. The site you use now is at max 8x10.

I didn't allow for prints over 8x10 because it just gets to be a little too cost prohibitive...they get expensive as the print size gets larger. You're better off just buying the original file and having your large prints done at cost. |

Do you still have the ones from Kannapolis Intimidators - I think you took the one of Colin (EP#99) putting the Fiesta up on its two front wheels under heavy braking. I would love to get that shot if available, but couldn't seem to find the Kannapolis ones anymore.

Ah ok. I thought on the other site you had it was only like $14 for the 30-20. just keep me posted. I do have options for large prints, but they are more expensive with Smugmug. Cost for a 16x20 is $20 and a 20x30 is $22. That's just actual cost without profit figured in. I need to make about $3 or $4 from each print I sell...figure in that Smugmug rakes off 15% and you can see why I didn't bother to add them, as they're more expensive than Fotki.com. If you want to buy the digital file, PM me or email me and I'll sell you the hi-res file and you can have it printed however big you want it at your cost. BTW, figure in shipping and tax and that 20x30 print gets really expensive. I'm sure that it's a quality photo....but expensive nonetheless. If you really want the convenience of buying it thru Smugmug, I will go ahead and add those two sizes. Another sidenote: Before any money gets released to me from Smugmug, they W-9 me, and I have to pay the government tax on all this...so there's really very little profit margin...I just don't want you to think I'm gouging you with pricing or anything. |
