Crowded schedule in September, at least 2 autocrosses, 1 seat-time track day, a few other weekend plans. Can't afford the time and money to do everything, and the CMP track day was last on the list. If I wasn't sorting a new car setup for autocross, the balance of events would probably be different.

pricing mainly, not the exact cost but the way its set up where i cant pay at the track day...... my next paycheck is the 25th and all of that is going to car payments, tuition payments, etc, wont have enough left over for the 24hrs AND this school, then the next paycheck after that is 15th of september, 1 day prior to the event, and not enough time to mail it in...... i was wondering if there is a way to pay at the track day instead of advance?

Money is my problem... not enough of it! HPDE's are not in the budget for me this year. May be able to do one next year...

Ditto here, planning on doing one in the spring after a little more auto-x experience and a couple other little things I'd prefer to have on the car first. And of course $$$.

I'd love to do this event but my season is over. I need new tire$ and I can't afford the entry fee because business is tooooo sloooooow. How's the old saying go? "It's the economy, stupid."

I have to work that weekend.
All remaining CCR autox events are also on weekends I am scheduled to work - I was only recently able to arrange to be off for the 24 hour event and have tentatively arranged to be off for autox 8 and 9 - but I can't get off for everything - early notice is important for me. One key for better participation might be earlier promotion.

I would go but I dont have a rollbar in the miata yet. I figured my money was most well spent in brakes, hubs, bearing, first, then the rollbar.

The bummer for me is that I was planning on running the regional ... wanted to run the regional ... but it turned into a PDX ... nothing against PDX, but I need another finish this year

A friend of mine is doing the Phil Wicks driving experience - a similar thing geared towards mini drivers but open to all - at the same track the following weekend..
$300 per day! The HPDE is a helluva deal in comparison.

Like someone above, I would be able to register and then pay at the track, my commission comes on the 15th of each month (didn't get one this month) so I am out even though I would love to be there.

Two reasons I can't be there:
1) Finances don't support it at this time.
2) I just found out about it!
Had it not been for #2, I may have been able to make plans to deal with #1. How long has this event been planned, and more importantly, why am I only finding out about it now?

How long has this event been planned, and more importantly, why am I only finding out about it now? It's on the front page of the CCR Website. Right above the announcement of: September 2nd & 3rd: Points Autox #7 - 24hrs - Site TBA Maybe when they clear up that "Site TBA" thing, they'll make the PDX more prominent. Of course, I'm not sure an autocrosser has much of a reason to visit the CCR site......except on the way to the forum.

Not sure if the finances will allow, but I was curious if an '04 Dodge Dakota would be okay/legal for this event?

If I wasn't sorting a new car setup for autocross, the balance of events would probably be different. Changed my mind, decided to skip two autocrosses I was going to do (24hr and an ATL region event), and had to buy new brake pads anyway. You'll see me in Kershaw. A question: Is there any way to have the car teched on Saturday morning? I will be driving in from Columbia each day, and it'd be a lot easier if I didn't have to rush out to Kershaw after work just for that on Friday.

The tech form looks a little intimidating. Do you have to get a shop to fill that out or something? When do you have to have the form and checked mailed in by? This would be my first PDE...
