Just curious. They're talking about it on one of the BMW boards, and saying the project is dead.
I'm not sure that's the case. Anyone know?

I believe that EFR refers to Elliot Forbes Robinson.

I got an email back.....I asked them if the rumor of the track being dead was true, and what the plan is? The response was "thats news to us".
I guess thats a good response.

I don't know what the issue is, but I heard something about there being some $$ problems (what else). My sportbike club friends even starting talking about taking up a collection to help if they needed club sponsorship or something, since they're as excited about weekend schools and such as we are here..... I'd be happy to chip in some money up front if it got me some kind of a deal once it's open. Of course my $20 probably won't go very far if they're talking about hundreds of thousands, but there is strength in numbers........

Ooooh this'll be so kewl... a liddle track to play on! And, yes - when I said EFR I mean't Elliott Forbes Robinson. Used to watch him race Lola T-300 and T-330, F-5000 cars back in the fantastic 70s! Not much the guy wouldn't run.

Although I can't find the article now from the Salisbury Post, the AutoX portion, across I-85, is in doubt at this point. The article stated that the track will only be on one side of 85 and that the both sides option was out.
It's amazing what trouble one old crazy broad can cause. But, what's more amazing is that anyone listens to her. By her standards there isn't a square inch of dirt on the planet that's not "historical" in some way or another. I'm sure that one of the participants at the battle of Kings Mountain stopped on my little ridge and took a leak and it's your job to prove it didn't happen. Give me my historical designation!! My land is a Urnial To History, HUZZAH!!

Sheesh...I have had the same problem trying to build a garage. I am next to a National Forest and apparently some Indians camped here one night. I read that article and all I could think about was the comment by the one commissioner who commented that some of the "historical" facts were undocumented - big surprise.
Well folks, when it happens it will be some serious fun to play up here!
