Continental Tire for the best and safest site for a twenty four hour event in 10 years, IMO.
We are truly blessed.
Thak you also to Rob Falkner et all for the course design and for the grid plan. Knowledge is a truly wonderful thing when applied properly.
Also, thanks to John Byrd, Joey Sutton, and all the deputy stewards for working together for a safe event. My wife and I are truly grateful.
Hope you all had a great 24, and will do your best to support the club in the future to make our events continue to be the best in NC!

Yes, thank you all. Great event. It was nice finally seeing you all again even though I've been a little absent this season. I'll be back soon (hopefully!).

Yes, thank you so much for such a great site and event! Also, allowing us to use your restrooms was so awesome of you all! That site is definitely the best we've run on.

The facilities were the best we have had the opportunity to use that I've seen since I started. Spacious grid, large lot, fabulous bathrooms, and of course gracious hosts. I am very grateful to have Continental step up to the plate and offer us their facilities as I know it usually means someone is donating time before and after work to help the club. Many thanks! -Biggly

This was by far the most fun I've had at a auto-x! Everyone did such a good job making it run smooth. A big thanks goes out to Continental Tire for a great site and letting use use the restrooms!! Everyone in CCR that worked so hard to put on /run the event. It was truely a event that I'll rember for a long time. Thanks again everyone and hopefully I'll be able to come up and run with you guys again.

Continental was a great site for many reasons, signage to the site, restrooms(right, ladies?), airhose, secure lot for paddock, super secure lot for autox pad(probably the safest site ever from a spectator standpoint), good viewing outside the fence(there was hardly a spot on the course that you couldn't see well without taking just a few steps on the perimeter), shade, restrooms...and as you know that's just the hightlights.
Great job, Brian. Thanks again.

The plaque is a good idea. Mayby use fastphotos pic of the 3-wheelin Porsche on it! (Maybe not, not on Contis!) Also is there someone we can e-mail our thanks to at Continential? Posting on this forum is nice but a note directly to those responsible @ Continential would be good too.

Next time anyone sees Brian Gause make sure to thank him in person, he was instrumental in coordinating the approval and feasibility of this event.
I used to work for Continental Tire and had always wondered about using the plant employee lot. Remember, it can only be used for autox on a holiday weekend because that's the only time it will be empty.
Toward the end Brian actually let me see the course from the roof of the building which was pretty damn cool. He took some pics and I'll try to get them posted here.

Guys, I was glad to be able to connect the dots for CCR and Continental. The folks here at Continental were impressed with your enthusiasm and we are potentially are going to be able to conduct events at the Continental Tire Site in the future and on weekends other than Holidays. An articule ( to be published in Sports Car about the event) is in the works, to include photos and Sponsorship involvement from Continental Tire. The event went well and the areas for improvement such as radios are already being addresed by the CCR board. If the event is held at Continental next year we can consider renting gas powered light trailers.

And another THANK YOU to Brian and EVERYONE who made it happen. Let's see if we can coax Brian into bringing that Big Red Z/28 out of retirement and making a few laps. If ya need any help with the 350, just let me know, we'll figure out the vibration and get ya something together to STAY together.
