Is there a schedule for the upcoming NTI autocross posted anywhere? It's been a while since I've been to a CCR autocross and I don't recall what time things get started.

mattp, This info is typically provided on a per-event basis. Usually if you show up around 7:30-8:00 you'll have plenty of time to walk, tech, and register. Any later than that will make for a very hurried day and that's never any fun. The event details and registration are currently not up on MyAutoEvents yet as I just searched (auto and manual style.) Normally I'd say the event details will hold exact times but in this case just a good rule of thumb should be fine. -Biggly

Oop.... the 14th is the NTI "student only event"... The 15th, however, is fair game!

This year the schedule has pretty much stayed the same: Registration: 7:30-9:00am Tech: 8:00-9:30am Drivers Meeting: 10:00 First Car Off: 10:30 And, YES - we do provide that information - usually posted a week or so in advance on www.myautoevents.com.

Matt knows that, I know that, and so does everyone trying to guess at the times. Those times and schedules need to be posted in advance. Matt knows that, I know that, and so do you all.

Ok i got a question... if I'm heping do reg from 7:30 to 9 then doing waivers from 9-10:30 how can I get my car to tech? Or do the drivers meeting? Have someone else bring it to tech for you or try to flag down one of the tech workers and have them run over to your vehicle in the paddock when they get a lull in the action. There are so few worker assignments that happen solely during tech (basically you're it) that it isn't going to be a huge deal as dozens of other folks won't be requesting the same thing of tech workers. Also, if you are comfortable with it I would recommend doing an annual tech for next year. It's just something else to make the morning feel a bit less rushed I have found. (Granted, I'm usually doing entries/setting up lights/setting up timing/helping with the course/etc but it still does make it easier on me knowing I don't have an exact time of when I need the car to be ready to roll other than my general run heat.) -Biggly

Many of us have asked that same question... why doesn't registration open more than a week before an event? Also, why isn't CCR-SCCA listed as an organization on myatuoevents? If you search for it, you don't get anything...

Rich, I'm not sure if you kept up on the other thread I asked if more help was needed I could do Reg then Waivers. saabstory said it would be kewl since they needed the help. Just let me know what I need to do. Also if I'm doing the waivers what about the drivers meeting?

Don't you think it might be wise to have him first demonstrate that he can consistently bring a car to inspection that passes before suggesting a season tech sticker? I also mentioned that if the competitor was comfortable doing so. The car also gets inspected at the time of issuance for an annual tech thus if it looks like it could potentially be a problem car then it would be obvious and annual tech denied at the time of request. I didn't presume that there was a problem, otherwise I would not have mentioned this. -Biggly

And....it's not whether or not the competitor is "comfortable with it," but it is in fact whether or not Rich is comfortable with it.
For my money, Rich (or Steven) has the final word on this.
