I may need a ride for the NTI event. My car is in the shop and should be done before the weekend, but then again, it was supposed to be an overnight job, and tomorrow will be day 4 of my car being in for service. So, I think there is an 80% chance I won't need to co-drive, but I just want to cover my 20% chance too. I would prefer sts2, but since I'm running a Pax class, it really doesn't matter. Thanks!

Clark, is that you? If so, I'm pretty sure you could probably handle my beast, too, though it would be CSP PAXed with your Novice designation.

As a disclaimer, I don't have my car yet either, she's been in the body shop for the last week, so you'd have to promise not to hurt her new paint! Was scheduled to be done yesterday and I told them when I dropped it off that I needed it by today at the latest, which really means as long as I get it by close-of-business tomorrow, I'm a happy camper. Especially since it's free (to me anyways)!

What's up with the car Clark?
I'd offer mine, but you may not be able to reach the pedals because of the fixed seat...

It went in for what I though was a CV joint going bad. The guys at the shop thought it was a wheel bearing going bad. It was neither. They said that my tie rods were bad and were replacing them. Oh well, I needed an alignment anyway. If I have a car and you don't bogner, you are more than welcome to ride. Hopefully it will be ready today.

Well I came into this thread a little late, but you're more than welcome to co-drive mine. I'm (not so adequetely) set up for ES, but I'm running Azenis 615's street tires. In any case, it's on the table if something else doesn't work out.

Still don't know yet. I know the shop is open until 5:30 tonight, and of course the person who knows what's up with my car is out to lunch. I told them I will be there at 5:30 to pick up my car, finished or not. We'll see how that goes......

I called and they say it's ready. Will be picking up within the hour. Will report back on if they actually fixed it right......

OK, bit of irony here-- I officially picked it up. Fantastic job on the paint matching, looks better than when I bought it.......Unfortunately, it came with a disclaimer: "yeah, ummm, so the reason we made you wait here for 45 minutes to get it was that your battery died. We jumped it, and its running now, just don't turn it off until it's been running for a while." So of course I was also out of gas and stopped less than a mile away on Independence and as muscle memory dictates, I pull into the gas station, hit the p-brake, and kill the moto...........Awwww ()*@#*(&Q(#@*&@&*@&(@#*&% (insert favorite string of expletives). Yeah, won't do nothing but click. So got a jump at the gas station, drove the hour + home, and parked in the garage to prep. Waited a few, and it did turn turn back on, weakly yes, but it did. We'll see if it holds charge to the morning, otherwise Donald Craig Mazda (conveniently 1 mile from my house and 1 mile from NTI) may be getting a visit from me in the AM. I'll bring jumper cables to NTI.

If it happens to be handy, maybe..... If it's dead in the morning, I'll probably just bring my wife's car to NTI to help for the first hour or two, then the Mazda parts dept. opens at 8:30. I'm thinking my chances of them having an OEM battery in stock should be decent, so I've kinda had a feeling I was due to replace it, so for now I won't worry too much about it. Now for Sunday, if they don't have one, yes, jump me please!!!
