Just a head's up to all... Sometime in January I'll be posting an annual tech day. This will be so that all competitors can come out and get their inspection out of the way BEFORE the first event.
I for one do not want to have tech deal with 125+ cars at the first two events.
Quick overview of what is needed: Must be a member of the SCCA (CCR not required). Must have autocrossed with CCR for a full season (the 2006 season). Must have brought a car to tech in the 2006 season that has consistently passed tech. Helmet (if you have one) must be SNELL SA/M/K 95 or newer.
As a courtesy to our surrounding regions, we will honor Triad, TSCC, NCR, SCR and other SCCA regions annual tech inspections. We expect the same courtesy from those organizations.
I will have a form that must be filed out at the annual tech. Link to be provided later.
More details will follow after I get the 2007 stickers from Rick D.
I'm open to suggestions on the date and location of the annual tech. It will be sometime in January, probably on a Saturday. If anyone has a location or shop they would like to volunteer please post it here.

Maybe we can hold it at knights and have a test and tune session as well!
If you can give me about three weeks notice, I can help out as well. Especially if it gets me a sticker! ::)I have to ask for sats off about 20-30 days in advance that's all. Greg

Maybe we can hold it at knights and have a test and tune session as well! Doubt that will happen... but you never know. This is just a few hours to get a large number (hopefully) of tech inspections out of the way.

Having a large shop would be nice... since it'll be COLD!! Personally, the idea of standing around at Cont, Knights, etc for 4-6 hours in the cold doesn't sound like much fun! Guess we need to find a big garage or warehouse!

Small correction: Highlands has no annual tech. We tech all cars at every event.

Wait, don't the Findlans have something like a 13-acre garage to house all those toys? Let's just volunteer them to host and get it done and over with!! ;-)

You rub the bottle, and a Giant Genie comes out, with a cloud of smoke.

There are no details yet, Just a good idea to have this done early in the year, and I have to talk to Rich about a site that I feel will work out very well.

Definitely a Saturday... for all of us out-of-towners! Do new cars qualify as "able to consistently pass tech"?

Yes, it will be on a Saturday... New cars usually don't have problems.... although I think any new WRX needs to be test driven by the head of tech... ;D

Sad to say the garage is still under construction. The local contractors do bizness the old fashioned way...whenever they feel like it.

Looks like Dave's son, Tim, is going to get us a few bays at Folger Subaru. I'll have to get together with him about the date and will post update after that...
