I didn't make it to the test and tune session held this year before the season started, so I have no opinion on how it went. A few people I asked about it grumbled about not having time to make changes to parts or suspension bits during their run group.
I had a suggestion about that, maybe we could do one of the following:
If it goes from 10-4, run it like the 24 hour event, where people work for a block of time, say 30 minutes or 1 hour depending on the amount of people and the rest is yours to take runs or fix settings with. If we get a ton of people, break them up into two groups and run it with the same format except people only get three hours to have a go at it but with half the people trying to get on the course at the same time. Does that sound reasonable? Think it could work?

That was my big gripe about the test-n-tune... no time to tune! It was run like a regular event, but only two groups. Group 1 ran first, group 2 worked. Switch... lunch... Group 1 runs, group 2 works. Switch. No time to do anything. But we did get 8 runs total...
Maybe have 2 4-group sessions... one morning, one afternoon.
I like the idea of running it like the 24. I work my 1 hour session, then can do whatever. The only issue will be (like normal) getting people to work the end of the day shifts!

Getting people to work their assignments might be easier if they were told they would be banned for 6 months for failure to work. Not at all the events mind you, that's a little heavy, but when it's something like this where we really need people to show up for their assignments so everyone can get their time in on course/in the pits.
