I hope you will join me in congratulating Per Olof Ezelius for being named SCR/SCCA Solo Driver of the Year for 2006 at last night's SCR Banquet in Columbia.
He joins familiar faces DJ Bruner and Joe (Tirewarmer) Olivera who were named to the honor in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
Per is a joint member of CCR and SCR Regions.

Way to go Per, great job driving this season! You definitely deserve it. I wonder if the SCR trophy presentation was as great as the one at the NCAC? ;D  |

Thank you all for your complementary wishes and comments. There are many good drivers in the SCR-SCCA club and I feel lucky to have won the award. Much credit will go to my Mini which has for most part kept me on course and out of trouble. As most of you know, my Mini is also a very well prepared GS class car and the car of choice for the class helping to mask many driver deficiencies.
Thank you John Byrd for having introduced me to SCR and SCCA autocross in July of 2004 (I think it was) when I ran Novice class at the Fair grounds in Colombia. This was also the time I became an SCCA member. After all, it was difficult to resist the attractive offer of getting a free autocross if you signed up for a SCCA membership at the same time.
PS. I wish I could shake off that untimely taken and embarrassing photo. DS.

Per,
Congrats on the award. Very well deserved. On a personal note, thanks for all your kind words and assistance. Oh, and thanks for running Pro and giving us in GS a chance!!
