I really wish I could be at the Statesville autox. New site and strong field of drivers in Pro class... This is a very rare occurance. Unfortunately, I was already pre-committed to attend the Performance Challenge at BMW's Performance Center in Greer before this event was announced.

So far, D-Stock is 100% WRXs (Bret is registered in Pro) and STU is 100% STIs...LOL ;D (The sole TDS entry is a WRX as well.)

A few years ago.. 2000 or so MR Rankins had a "Subaru Invitational" autocross at Knights Castle.. the WRXs had just come out, there were a bunch of 2.5 RSs.
A few non subarus were invited, officially to "give somone to compare too that we know are good drivers" according to Rankins, but I think it was to get people who knew how to run an autocross as officials there since the Subaru contingent was not as strong as it is now in terms of organizational skills.
Either way I ended up there in my GS CRX, Martin came with his swift, etc, and it rained all day.
The first two place cars?
Martin in his Swift and me in the CRX. The beauty of what?
