I fully concur... Great job Steve. Your P1800 looks awsome and has a very sweet sound. Growing up in Sweden where Volvo once had nearly a 40% market share it was difficult of not becoming a Volvo fan. I remember like yesterday when I was able to borrow my father's 1967 Volvo Amazon 123 GT when growing up. This was a special edition with 115hp (adding another 10hp to the popular 122S) coming in british racing green equipped with extra driving lights, a tachometer bolted on the dash, wider rims and tires. Did I have some fun driving that car... unfortunately some of my too spirited driving on the windy gravelled country roads was reported back to my parents... P.O. Ezelius

Admittedly, I'm partial to light metallic blue but, sweet lines with just enough wheel at speed, arguably the most beautiful car at our events...however, I think the ES version is even more cohesive a design...better than the Lamborghini Espada, also in light blue metallic...Steve, your's is not just a car, it's art in the metallic age...

Thanks guys. It's actually really easy to become the reader ride of the day on Autoblog. 1. Use a photo from Joshua 2. Navigate the confusing Flickr submission process 3. Beat out the 3 other guys who figured out how to do it. 4. Voila! Per - 123GT's sell for $15k in decent shape but you can find them. They are probably the most valuable volvo. I've wanted one since I started into swedes - www.volvoadventures.com/123GTspec.htmlSee you all on Sunday.

Per - I'm helping a friend build out a volvo B30 in a 1974 164E. Unfortunately there are not many speed parts for the volvo B30 in the USA. There are some interesting parts (prepared cylinder head, turbo kit!) in a catalog from a company called KG Trimmning in Sweden but they have very little information in English. Can you help me out with some swedish-to-english? Standard translator software is terrible with automotive terms. Email me at sberry at unideal.net if you are at all interested in helping.
