The South East Division AGM occurs at Jekyll Island on January 19-21. Many of you will not know of the implications of this. In regard to many of the activities the SCCA puts on (including CCR's) in the S.E. Division, this is where many rules are made, decisions on events such as Divisional Autocrosses finalized, discussions on whether ST cars will have to have full roll cages in the future (!) and many other items. Safety - for all types of events - is always a major topic.
SO...
If you have a concern, heard a rumor, or have something you would like investigated that is relevant to Solo, please let me know by reply here.
Please keep it to the point, as I don't need another comic forum.... I'll read this before heading to Jekyll.

Martin, There is a great discussion on TT cages in the Time Trials discussion forum on the SCCA web page that I read yesterday. Good read on the issue.

Why would full roll cages be required in a class ostensibly for street cars? Street Mod and Street Prepared don't require any additional safety equipment, why would Street Touring?
Totally misunderstood what you meant, nevermind.

I think most of the discussion revolves around level 4 events...for now! Read the discussion on the SCCA web site. Remember, TT is now under club racing.

I read the one in the TT forum, makes more sense now, Martin must mean "Solo Trials".

Yes, there are a large number of problems with that rule (won't go into them all here - I'll be arguing it elsewhere!), but one that is relevant to you is that if you have to run a full cage for a Hillclimb, when you take your car to a local autox (or Div/National Solo) and someone in your class who doesn't run TT's doesn't have a cage, are you going to be concerned about their car being 200lbs lighter or just think your car being that much stiffer makes up.....
don't answer that - or at least not under this topic. Thanks.
