i just wanted to thank whoever took it upon themselves to go through my tools at the 24 and take what they wanted. I noticed through out the week I couldn't find a few things various screwdrivers, my hammer, and some other things..... I thought maybe I had them at home. nope
So thank you who ever you are.

How rude!! Sorry to hear about it... Know who was paddocked around you? If I'm ASKED I'll loan tools, but I surely don't want someone going through my stuff and just "borrowing" it without asking!! Note to self - make sure to put the padlock on the trailer box when not at the trailer!!

That sucks!! Maybe somebody just borrowed and forgot to bring them back before you left? One can hope.

Oh my. I'd better be more carefull. Thanks for the warning. I have never , ever , 'lost' anything at an Event. And I have left my wallet, camera, phone, checkbook, purse, etc. unatended, out in the wide open, for hours at a time. Never again.
Everyone I've met (so far) attending a meet, has been honest & trustworthy.
I'm saddened to hear about this.

Yup - likewise - have left a lot of stuff in plain sight and never lost anything. Guess we should all be more careful.

We should be more aware of who is paddocked around us and watch out for each others stuff.

Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that. And I was pretty close by to you. Man, that sucks...
I had a duffel bag full of valuable thigns...MP3 player, digital camera, clothes, CD, no tools though. I gave everyone there the benefit of the doubt and figured them all honest folk. That's too bad, I hope your stuff turns up.

I doubt if it was a registered participant. There were people coming and going all night while I was there. Not the best side of town.

yeah I have to agree with not the best side of town. on my last run before i left to go pack up and go home I saw a couple of "wannabe thugs" walking down the grid.
I'm just surprised that it was random tools I had my New laptop sitting out with all of our stuff. i was in a group with people i can trust. If it just happens to be someone borrowed it and never got to return it please let me know.
I've never had a problem like this at anything I've been to. So I wouldn't sound the alarms or anything. I mostly just wanted to vent, tools can be replaced.

All I used on my car was a 1/2 rachet and 1/2 wrench and snap ring plyers. I kept everything where it should of been. Except for the prybar you used to poke the coals lol.
