And bought a few really nice pics. He was at the otto fair. We, Jeannie and i, were checking out the high price of rust. Dan Had a booth with some of his work. Kewl - Thanks! Yes, the cost of rust has definitely gone up...amazing what some folks want for a bucket of rust on 4 wheels....3500 bucks for a 68 Chevelle in full rust with no motor/trans and with major rust in the wheel wells...now, granted - at one time it was a SS with a 396 in it....
Didn't get a chance to spend any time out there as we went to HPDE, but got to see a few examples of some fine rustoration projects.

Yup too many peeps watching Barrett -Jackson. And not knowing the diff between a pos and a full resto. On a decent car, read rare, not one of 800,000.

yeah...I saw this about 20 years ago...late 80s was the first boom period of muscle car redo...and the stuff went up in price like crazy for about 5-6 years..then, in mid 90s it slumped a bit as the new hot-rods started coming off the showroom floors. Now, folks are beginning to think of how kewl the old iron is and they want it again...Geez, I have seen some 67 GTOs going for 50 Gs - cripes! Shoulda kept mine...
But at least I still have my 70 Camaro!

Sorry, I don't understand......who is he? Dan was a solo competitor in the 80"s. He is also a renowned auto artist. Great stuff. check out his website (above). Dan ran an alfalfa romeo in e/p . hope he can make a meeting as he is a good guy. James |

LM we were there saturday from about 11:00 till 4. couldn't find any Meyaattas, they were way too small.We hungout for a while wit tha turboford guys, at the oldsmobile group. No one brought a ferd.
